Five of us went on an ATV guided tour w/ Bob ... Nice machines and GREAT vistas. Went to the old ghost town Animas Forks. .. Lovely day in mid September.

This was a great 1/2 day. We've been spending summers in Durango for years and we should have done this years ago. We drove on some serious back roads and were happy it wasn't our car taking the beating. Larry,our guide, gave a detailed introduction to mining and the history of the area. Our four kids (aged 9-15) hate tours...

We stayed in Silverton for 2 nights and wanted to do something pretty special that gave us a real flavour of the back country around this gorgeous little town (village to those of you from the UK !!!) We booked the 4x4 tour plus train which as it sounds meant a 4 hour jeep trip through the mountains that look...
