A must do if in the area! Great scenic ride up the mountain and then tram ride to top is the coup de gras. The view is breathtaking and the personnel there are courteous and extremely friendly. Has a great lil gift shop. The homemade fudge is fantastic. Definitely an A+ site.

My son and I stopped at the crest of Monarch Pass on US 50 between Salida and Gunnison, at the wonderfully old-fashioned souvenir shop and rest stop. On a whim we bought tickets for the cable car tram, a relic of the 60's. What awaited at the top was remarkable- a 360 view of the continental divide falling away from... More

We rode up in the afternoon it was cooler up top in the 50s. The upper floor of the Tram has a lot of info about what you can see here on the Continental Divide. The view from here is so expansive! We went down back side of slope and took pictures in the snow that was still left over.... More

Wonderful ride, it was nice to be able to see the ski runs that the boys had taken in the Spring from the top of the mountain pass.

My two sisters and I happened upon this place somewhat by accident. When we left Colorado Springs, our destination was Monarch Pass. When we got to Monarch Pass, we found the tram. Another couple we met at the base of the tram highly recommended we take it. We did and were sure glad we spent the $10 per person for... More

Our family enjoyed riding the tram to the top of the Continental Divide at Monarch Crest! The views were breathtaking and pictures we got were so worth it! Plus we went at 8:30 am and were the first and only visitors on top of the mountain! The staff was so friendly and even offered us heavier jackets because it was... More

Loved it! So beautiful. It's quick, no lines. The staff is so friendly, you felt like they were old friends. Obviously they love what they do. Very inexpensive for such a pretty place. It was cool up top, but they had jackets for us to borrow.

Quick ride up and down and some really good photo explanations of the mountain ranges you are viewing so you can leave with a good sense of all of the mountain ranges.

Open gondola ride to the top of the mountain with fantastic 360 degree views. Very reasonably priced, and if you want to walk the trail down, it passes meadows, goes into trees, and wildlife is abundant.

Inexpensive and the people running it are very nice. At the top you see unforgettable views. We got to play with our grandkids in some snow. You can walk around and enjoy the scenery. It can get very cold and windy though.
