Great view and not expensive. It was fun seeing Monarch Ski area from this location. I had skied Monarch for years and just had to give up skiing due to OLD knees last year. 60 plus years without an injury was probably enough.

We went on the last day they were open in September (closed for the winter). This is a great place to go for a free activity. The drive getting there was also beautiful. The ice cream in the gift shop was delicious!

This was a fun and basic gondola with spectacular views. The gondola was no frills but the operators were nice. They had coats you could borrow. it was really cold in September. The observation decks is vintage and has lots of info n the views. The gift shop was super touristy but fun!

This is a short gondola ride up to the highest part of the mountain. From the top you can see 360 degrees around you and you can see mountain ranges that are far, far away. It's incredible. There's nothing at the top, but at the base is a gift shop, etc. If you ride up be ready for wind! When... More

Wow, do it! The views from the top area absolutely amazing! You can see for miles around, and the attendant at the to, Mike, was so friendly and pointed out several points of interest to us. I was a little hesitant, as I'm scared of heights, but the tram was so clean well cared for, I never had any worries.... More

This is a dog friendly attraction! We put our pups with us in the tram, and had a great time! The views are unbelievable! Definitely add a layer of clothing, and grab a jacket as this is the windiest place I've ever been. That adds to the experience though. We live in Salida, but it was fun to 'play tourist,'... More

They say it's the oldest of it's type (49 yrs). The about 8 minute trip is well worth the $10 ($8 is you're over 55). On a clear day you can make out Pike's Peak to the East and Arizona to the SW as you straddle the Great Continental Divide. You are free to explore anywhere, save the antennae arrays... More

Our timing was not the better. We had bad weather and it was a windy day and we did not have jackets, and it was cold and windy. The views were incredible. I would like to go again now in the fall when the leaves start changing. some of the leaves were turning yellow now so I will give it... More

Read the reviews and had to try. Came with 5 adults and 2 kids (5 & 8yrs old) we came here right before leaving back to Texas. It was very cold and rainey and I had my debates and thought we probably weren't going to see much at the top but wow! There were a lot of clouds but it... More

Pretty cool views from the top. Lots of wildflowers in August when we went, so if your a photog bring your macro. Chilly up there, so bring a hoodie or a flannel.
