Even though it was a stormy afternoon the views were spectacular and the person at the top was very imformative.

This ride is a lot of fun - especially if you are older and/or cannot climb anymore. It's cheap, the view is amazing and you can sit inside out of the wind and enjoy the incredible view.

So my family and I was just expecting to go to the top of the tram. We ended up having a incredible experience! My son saw the pretty pond when we were overlooking the continental divide. Long story short, three hours later, we returned to the tram to ride it down. Be respectful of the area, but don't just stop... More

The short tram ride delivers you to the top of Monarch Mountain for a gorgeous vista of the surrounding mountaintops. Chilly, but very enjoyable!

I stopped at the top of the Monarch Pass for the gift shop and tram. The shop had plenty of the typical tourist stuff reasonably priced. The tram was inexpensive, the staff was friendly, and the views were great. It didn't take a long time and was a slam dunk.

The scenic tram was a fun, affordable, and accessible experience to enjoy the mountains near Salida. The views are amazing, and the staff was very accommodating. The free popcorn was a treat, too. Thanks for the wonderful excursion.

A must do if in the area! Great scenic ride up the mountain and then tram ride to top is the coup de gras. The view is breathtaking and the personnel there are courteous and extremely friendly. Has a great lil gift shop. The homemade fudge is fantastic. Definitely an A+ site.

My son and I stopped at the crest of Monarch Pass on US 50 between Salida and Gunnison, at the wonderfully old-fashioned souvenir shop and rest stop. On a whim we bought tickets for the cable car tram, a relic of the 60's. What awaited at the top was remarkable- a 360 view of the continental divide falling away from... More

We rode up in the afternoon it was cooler up top in the 50s. The upper floor of the Tram has a lot of info about what you can see here on the Continental Divide. The view from here is so expansive! We went down back side of slope and took pictures in the snow that was still left over.... More

Wonderful ride, it was nice to be able to see the ski runs that the boys had taken in the Spring from the top of the mountain pass.
