PROS: -Two large, family-friendly pools -- one with swim lanes -Decent locker rooms and showers. -Reasonably priced, and if you're staying in local lodging you can buy discounted tickets. CONS: -Water in either pool wasn't hot enough, given that it was supposedly coming from hot springs. -Water is also chlorinated. -Closed to general public during certain hours for team activities... Not a typical mountain hot springs in the rocks. It basically is a swimming pool that is fed by a hot springs. Very clean and big bathrooms to change clothes and shower. Had lockers to store clothes. Staff was nice. You can buy swimsuits, floaties and swim toys at front desk. We got our tickets for $5 at our hotel.... More

Hot springs in the winter! The hot springs are mixed with the cool river to get the perfect temperature.

I live in southern Colorado, and I've been enjoying the variety of hot springs colorado has to offer for years- the more intimate settings as well as the more public settings such as salida hot springs. We had a reservation for a private pool that we catered our entire night around (dinner included.) When we showed up for our reservation... More

We go to the pool frequently and it is now remodeled - air handlers, dehumidifier, and remodeled/painted locker rooms. We are very lucky to have a pool like this in Salida - it's the finest.

As a senior, I appreciate the availability of this community resource for my workouts in the lap lanes and different classes that keep me motivated and active. Staff members are wonderful, enthusiastic, and fun to interact with in a clean and well maintained facility.

Typically, when visiting hot springs my primary goal is to soak in warmer springs starting at about 90 - 95 degrees then going upward to 115. However, here the temps are barely warm around 85 - 93. Cooler hot spring experience that I found typical for a swimming pool versus hot springs.
