We had a lovely, lovely morning ride with GMO. Their horses are very well cared for (as is apparent when they give them multiple breaks up a very steep incline), their feet are well trimmed and shoed and coats are shiny. It’s so nice to see an outfitter that genuinely cares about their animals as well as the customer experience.... More

We are experienced riders who have taken innumerable trail rides. GMO is one of the best outfitters we have ever come across. Our 2 1/2 hour ride featured spectacular views, lots of wildflowers, and a knowledgeable guide who sincerely enjoyed her job. Ask for Evelyn. I was most impressed with the quality of the horses, and concern for their welfare.... More

Evelyn did a great job of leading our family of 6 on a beautiful 2 1/2 hour ride. The weather was great and the scenery was spectacular. Only one of us had some horseback riding experience, but the instruction given before the ride was very thorough and the horses were very easy to ride. I would definitely recommend this activity... Today, my 7 year old son and I went to GMO based on a previous post. We live in dowtown denver and were not sure what to expect. I have to admit, I was a little scared i would fall and crack my head open. Sue did a great job giving us instruction. We left feeling confident and secure. Andrew... More

I grew up not so crazy of horses, so did my teenage son. I had only ridden once before, my son NEVER rode before. The three ladies in my family all have ridden/owned a lot. So we were a mixed bunch. Andrew our guide was PERFECT!! I was questioning my decision a bit at first to bring my family here.... More

I went on the 2.5 hour trail ride and loved it! Andrew was my guide and was amazing, he told us about the land, flowers, mountains, history of some of the stuff and so much more! We went though meadows, wildflowers (some of the horses tryed to eat them😂😄) and the views were just breath taking!!! I can't wait to... More

I've tried a few outfitters in the area over the years. GMO had the best and most stunningly beautiful views. The trail was perfect for multi-level riders.

We were vacationing in Colorado and we're looking for something fun to do, when we were told about Granite Mountain Outfitters, by my aunt, who lives locally. When I called, Sue was extremely nice, accommodating our 6 person group for a half day ride on short notice. Upon arriving, the place was beautiful and the staff were all very friendly.... More

Gorgeous setting for a trail ride. The 2.5 hour trail took us through wildflowers, meadows and aspen groves to 10,000 feet. Views of Mt. Ouray, Santi di Christo range. Just the three of us in our group, very personalized attention. The horses are in terrific condition. Our guide, Evelyn, was fun and very informative about wildlife. It's obvious she loves her... We had such a great time on our ride with Granite Mountain outfitters. Randy and Evelyn were our guides and they were awesome. We have a very busy, very active and sometimes WILD 8 year old son, so I was a little concerned he may have a difficult time but Evelyn was so good with him. She was like the... More
