Being a skydiver, this was not the most adrenaline pumping adventure, but it sure was FUN! The scenery was beautiful and the zip lines exciting. The guides were very safety conscious, but allowed our group to really enjoy the experience. I even learned a little geology on the way and did you know toothpaste has crushed marble in it? I... more

We had a lot of fun ziplining with Captain Zipline! They have about 6 cables of varying lengths and heights (and they are in the process of adding more). Beautiful scenery. Guides were super friendly and knowledgable. Great value compared to ziplining trips around the US that I know of. Not exactly super thrilling though, so if you're an adrenaline... more

OK, since I relied on Tripadvisor to try this activity, I feel an obligation to post my thoughts to give others a better basis for deciding if they want to plunk down $89 to do this. I was reluctant to spend that kind of dough on an afternoons entertainment, but decided to go for it based on the rave reviews... more

My family drive to Colorado to sightsee and hike but our Zipline adventure was the most exciting thing that we did together! I researched a lot of hotels and activities on Tripadvisor in preparation for our Colorado vacation but this was the day that I was looking most forward to. Before our trip we watched videos of people ziplinning on... more

Our trip was destined to be filled with adventure. Whitewater rafting was already booked, but we had a day open for fun. We found Captain Zipline. The guides are friendly and are extremely helpful especially for those uneasy about ziplining. They were never pushy and kept us laughing throughout the entire experience. We couldn't have asked for a better adventure... more

Last weekend we decided to take the kids to the mountains from Denver and started to research fun, unique, and educational activities we could all do together. We had been to Salida when the kids were young, but now they were old enough for a real adventure. We discovered the Captain Zipline tours and decided to zip with the captain!... more

My medical team and I decided to do the zipline tour in Salida during a several week stint in that lovely Colorado town. I was a bit hesitant at first, given that a zipline some of the team had tried out several mos. prior in the eastern U.S. was a bit "traumatic," shall we say at the start (one of... more

If you are looking for an adventure and have always wondered what it would be like to soar thru the canyons in Colorado, then Captain Zipline's zip tours are for you. I went with a group from work last fall and we all had a blast. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will teach you everything you need to... more

Had a great time on the zipline. It is very exciting, but seems pretty safe. You have a harness, helmet, and gloves. After a few minutes on a low practice cable, you walk a bit to the first real cable. It is several hundred feet across, and about 100 feet above the Lost Canyon. Quite a rush. After the initial... more

Captain Zipline has been in operation for over three years now, and my wife and I finally went with them for an afternoon of adventure. The Lost Canyon (where the lines are located) are a short drive from Salida, and the owner/operator Monty drove us in a converted Swiss NATO vehicle. Once there we got geared up and had a... more
