We stayed the night in Rifle while in Colorado. As we exited the highway we saw the sign Rifle Falls, with time to kill we thought we'd go look. What a wonderful surprise we got when we saw the falls. This is worth seeing if your in the area and if you're a camping person this is the place to... More

3 big water falls and many others from the top. Easy to navigate but falls at the top not easy for tripod. However had no problem hand holding camera and resting it on railing. Very beautiful.

A little out of the way, and a small problem finding a parking space, but the falls are worth it. Walk up to the falls, cross the water and take the path up to the right around the cliffs. Kids will find places to crawl into and adults are left to wonder if they will ever see them again until... More

We weren't sure what we were going to see or how difficult it would be to get to the falls. I've just had neck & lower back surgery & it's difficult to walk over rugged terrain or for any long distances, but the parking area was literally just around the corner from the falls & the path was gravel but... We hike cool trails, see extraordinary waterfalls, explore caves, rocks and crevices, see all types of small animals, frogs, fish, blue jays....we feel quite childlike and have a beautiful day!

Our family of 5 spent 3 nights and 4 days at the Rifle Falls Campground in July. We stayed in the tent-only loop at the south end of the campground. Tent-only sites mean you have to park you car in a lot and walk down to your site. Sites are anywhere from 30 yards from the parking lot, to about... More

It's not a massive park, and the hiking isn't too difficult (great for families with small children). The main falls are right near the entrance, but keep going around on the trails to see lots of small caves that are good for a bit of exploring

Amazing beauty and great simple trails that allow you to explore the caves and get behind the falls. Great drive and full facilities and picnic areas

We live in Rifle so we have been many times, summer, fall, winter and spring. All seasons you see something different. We always take our out of state company to see the Rifle Falls. If you can't walk to the top there is still a place to enjoy the Falls. A must for Rifle visitors.

Didn't have the cash this day for the day fee at the state park so I drove a mile up the road to the hatchery and parked for free and started hiking. Turns out that I was able to hike all the way down to the falls.
