Interesting feature for Rifle, well worth the drive north of town. The falls have several spills and you can walk under the falls, too. Look it's the back side of water!

We were pleasantly surprised at how spectacular the falls are. There are actually several falls coming down in close proximity after a short, easy walk from the parking area. The parking area is small so it could be full on busy days. We took the short hike up and over the falls and got to see some interesting limestone caves... More

This a great falls and riparian zone in a quiet corner of the state. This is classic Western Slope Colorado valley scenery. It's drier and the verdant greenery is alluring. It can be very crowded on summer weekends. It is not in the Colorado high country. It is part of the Colorado River basin and represents a different and lovely... More

This is not a stroll along a paved trail, but it is a great hike that takes you behind a waterfall! Great for young kids, lots of places to "crawl" around in the dirt and use your imagination. (Not for infants) Really well maintained park.

We came with our kids (11, 9, and 2). The short walk to the falls was convenient, and the short hike to the top above the falls was easy for all involved. There were also two small ponds above the falls for fishing where the water was clear and the fish were easy to see. We camped at Rifle Gap... More

We spent two nights Rifle as a base for exploring Glenwood Springs and Aspen which have more costly accommodation. The main tourist attraction of Rifle is the Rifle Falls State Park and we decided to take a look at it. It takes about a half-hour drive to get there from the town - not an unpleasant trip, but, of course... More

We enjoyed getting off the highway (approx. 13 miles to park) and coming here to eat our picnic lunch. Lots of shade and picnic tables and the kids loved looking in the caves and seeing the waterfalls.

We found this attraction by surfing Google on my phone as we were traveling. One of the most beautiful and relaxing place we went in all our two week vacation. You can actually walk up a small path and you are almost behind the falls. There was a small fee to get in and it was a little out of... More

Very scenic and easy walk to see waterfalls and caves. Squirrel trail is also an easy trail if you have more time.
