Rifle Gap State Park is a wonderful destination for families. The State Park is fun for the kids with great caving, fishing, and gorgeous waterfalls within a five minute walk of the entrance. We loved it so much last year that we went again this year with a large group and camped at Rifle Gap State Park over the 4th... More

Rifle Falls was a wonderful place to stop on our trip to Glenwood Springs. We took a nice hike up to the falls and enjoyed a peaceful picnic lunch in the park. The caves were really cool, too. They had an awesome reservoir for boating and fishing, too. Although the only stop we made in Rifle was for gas, it... More

While travelling along I-70 in Western Colorado, we decided to break up our trip with a quick stop to Rifle Falls State Park. If you have two hours to spare, it is worth the detour to see the triple falls. It is about 25 minutes or so off the interstate and there is a park entry fee of $7 per... More

We stayed in rifle falls state park campground for 3 nights, primarily to go climbing. Our site was #20 which was truly the BEST site there although you do have walk in on a nice dirt paved trail (Squirrel Trail) for 7 minutes. They provide 4 big wheel barrels to transport your camping supplies. Site 20 is right next the... More

Falls were beautiful - wish the park had a lower fee for a quick visit to the falls :). Park employee was great - gave me a ride to the falls because I have bad ankles.

We camped at Rifle Gap which I prefer over Rifle Falls for camping. An afternoon trip to the falls was well worth it! Cool small caves to hike around, beautiful falls and easy hikes. Great time!

Loved walking right up to the falls and feeling the mist on my face. Also enjoyed walking behind the falls. It was a wonderful side trip.

We spent a night camping at Rifle Falls and it was pretty great. The grounds are really clean and the ranger was incredibly nice. There are some good, short, easy hikes around with a lot to see. The falls are cool, the caves are cool and we saw a beaver. The bathroom could have been a little nicer but it... More

We live about 14 miles from these falls and thought we would take our niece and dog for a day trip. What a nice surprise to have such beautiful falls so close. We walked all of the trails which include caves and walkways to look over the falls. We were ther for a couple of hours and enjoyed the falls... More

We went on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all. The entry fee for the park is $7 per car. The waterfalls are very pretty and there is a simple hike that is easy for even smaller children. We also had a nice picnic there. There are bathrooms here, but they are like port-a-potties, so a bit stinky.
