This place is a real gem. The springs and staff are great. It is quiet, and clothing optional, and just like at a doctor's office, it is very inappropriate to have any lewd looks, comments or behavior. The locals and staff are very strict about this. Go to Ouray Hot Springs up the road if you want to be noisy... More

While Ouray has a public pool hot spring, we went to Orvis just up the road before entering Ridgway. There are a number of different outdoor pools of various temps that were all stone lined and much more natural than the public pool in Ouray. Orvis also has some indoor pools but we wanted the view. Orvis is clothing optional... More

Orvis Hot Springs and hotel are such a nice change of pace. They are set in the beautiful valley leading up to Ouray. I love lounging in the hot pools and looking out at the vista. We also stayed in a room. The rooms are large & clean. The bed was very comfortable. The shared bath did not seem to... More

Oh my. The freedom to choose to leave your suit at home and be in the relaxing water for a 30 minute soak. Tremendous experience EVERY time I go. Thank you Orvis!

Orvis is my favorite hot spring in the state of Colorado. I have been a regular visitor for over 20 years and drive 100 miles just to go there. A camping spot gives you 24 hour access to the ponds for some awesome quiet time after the public leaves at 9:00pm. Breathing those lithium vapors put's you into a relaxed... More

The large pool was amazing... big enough to swim, but perfect temp even with it being 30 degrees out. Laided out along the edge of the water and got a suntan in December. So relaxing!

One of the nicest hotsprings in the state. Nicely designed pools kept clean. Several different pools offer a nice range of soaking temps for every type of soaking.

Such an amazing setting for a great and relaxing experience. Remember that clothing is optional. Be sure to get to the True Grit Cafe in Ridgway and also the Thai restaurant.

Have been going to Orvis Hot Springs most of my life, and in that time have never had a bad time. Located just south of the Town of Ridgway, this a clothing optional hot springs. The pools are open to the public in the day, but if you have a room of camp site, you can soak all-night long.

Today was my first trip to ORVIS. Kept my suit on, but might try taking it off the next time there. Enjoyed all the pools and liked everything, EXCEPT for the uncontrolled spoiled little kids. Such a nice relaxing place to have to tolerate screaming kids. Two little girls, 4-6 yrs old, acting bratty in the women's locker room..with one... More
