We had an amazing time taking the boat out on the lake. The kids got to wakeboard and were able to swim in a back cove with life jackets on. The fishing was a lot of fun and other boaters were courteous. There is a nice beach for kids to go and swim at.

The facilities at the swim beach are great. There's plenty of parking, pavilions, shaded picnic areas, and restrooms have large changing areas with showers. But the water is just a large pond away from the main reservoir. The geese like to swim here and then there's the unavoidable goose poop everywhere. With the vast shoreline at Lake Pueblo, this could... More

Not boaters or fishers, just goofed off in the park. Too hot to do a lot but went to the swim beach a couple times and paddleboarded and tubed, and went to the fish hatchery, took the nature walk, and drove around and hung out by the campfire. Pretty low-key but the kids enjoyed it. Upside was that the lake... More

I grew up in Pueblo, and watched as they built the dam that created this wonderful water getaway. Just in the high plains of Colorado, at the foot of the rocky Mountains is this lovely lake. Surrounded by some of the most picturesque scenery on the planet. And it is also my wife's favorite american spot to kayak!!! Come breath... More

Great place to visit. Awesome for water sport. Love the little 'pirate bays' to hang out and relax. Some camping spots are very close to the shore line for overnight mooring. The marinas are great. A word of caution though. Do not leave your boat unsupervised due to thieves. Sadly enough there are low lives even in paradise.

Negatives: the lady in charge of the camp sites people are paying for is not very smart. She booked us in a site that was reserved and the same thing happened in a site near ours. When the people who reserved the site near ours showed up the park rangers just removed the campers tent and hauled it off in... More

First time stopping by on a Sunday to hike and it was lovely-you can see Pikes Peak and the rocks and water are lovely. Beautiful trails, many, many nice trails. The campground is immaculate with plenty of rangers around. They don't enforce leash laws very well but the park was full. SO MUCH to do here! I would definitely come back.

Maybe it was the time of the year, but the park itself seemed all but deserted in terms of having park employees around. When I pulled in, I had no idea whether or not my senior 'Golden Pass' was valid or not. Taking a chance, I went down to the lake and had a look around, but I didn't stay... More

Nice boating lake. Fishing is pretty good during Spring and early Summer months. If you want the lake to yourself go during the weekdays in the early am. Otherwise it gets VERY busy during the Summer months.
