We always have a cookout at Lake Pueblo every year for our family reunion. The facilities are nice and we always have a good time. I've never swam in the lake or taken a boat out so I cannot speak to those aspects, but I've seen dozens of other people out on the lake and it looks very calm and... More

We tried to go into Pueblo State Park but could not find an entrance. We followed the posted signs but they lead us through a neighborhood. We saw the lake from afar butt never figured out how to get there. When we used Google Maps, it did not have a park entrance either. We ended up on a gravel road... More

Situated just west of Pueblo this park has a number of camp grounds, and a visitors centre on the southern side. Some of the camp sites have power, but on the northern side are some sites with just a camp shelter & fire place. There is a boat ramp marina on both sides. the southern marina has a small store.... My first time on a jet ski. We needed mustard and it is a long way from the place we were to the Marina and a long walk from the parking lot to the Marina Store. Locals know this! Can't be helped!

Red Gate and the mountain biking at Lake Pueblo is as good as Fruita or the Western slope. Miles and miles of trails with the perfect mix of technical to basic. Trail riding or MTB is fantastic! Open all year and perfect!

South Shore Marina. Camped there Easter Sunday through 4/24/14. We enjoyed great weather, some wind at times, but very nice for early spring. The main focus of our trip was to mtn. bike the trail system there and one can hike this also. The biking is superb-highly recommended for those who mtn. bike. The trail is fairly vast and offers... I loved everything about this place and can't wait until we move to explore more! I would not say anything bad about it! There are more restrooms than I have seen in a state park! The ranger at the permit station was very friendly and gave us good information for what we were looking for. Can't wait to go back!

About 8 miles from downtown Pueblo, the lake is close to things to do, but a great spot for camping. We stayed in the campground at the end of the dam, overlooking the lake. Clean showers, lots of hot water, and well maintained. There some nice walking trails just at the edge of the campground that go into the hills... More

My family and dogs always have so much fun at the lake. We take our kayaks, paddle board and we swim and have a great time enjoying family time. The water level is lower than in years past but there is still plenty of water to have fun in.
