Well, the work that Diane and staff do on a daily basis caring for these birds is amazing. They are such caring people and these wounded birds are lucky to have this place. If more people knew what time and effort was put into the Center maybe more donations would come pouring in. The Nature Center down below the Raptor...

My son wanted to take me somewhere special after we had a breakfast out. When we got there they were clean the cages and feeding the birds. It was the nicest place my 12yr old has taking me in a while. The keeper there told you about the birds, where they came from and also brought some of them out...

I have loved every visit to this special place. Whether I am solo, with kids or on a date, I thoroughly enjoy spending time walking around this peaceful oasis! The restaurant is a real treat and the grounds are tranquil.
Not a very large place, but the birds of prey on display were hard to beat. Close up viewing (a few feet) through screened hardware cloth made viewing enjoyable. Don't miss this place...a must see. And it's FREE!

Wonderful place for walking, running or rding along the Arkansas River.
The Nature Center is a gem..there is so much happening there. Besides the restaurant, there's a playground for kids, paved trails to bike or walk on, a deck for fishing, and picnic benches all situated next to the river. It's a great place to be!
The Raptor Center is equally interesting. Kids will love spotting the birds in the outdoor...

Most of the birds sat in what shaded area they had in their cages. One eagle looked very stressed sitting on the ground in...
