This place is awesome! I wish it was bigger! The whole thing is centered around the awesome creatures here! It's a lot more than I expected!

Well, the work that Diane and staff do on a daily basis caring for these birds is amazing. They are such caring people and these wounded birds are lucky to have this place. If more people knew what time and effort was put into the Center maybe more donations would come pouring in. The Nature Center down below the Raptor... More

My son wanted to take me somewhere special after we had a breakfast out. When we got there they were clean the cages and feeding the birds. It was the nicest place my 12yr old has taking me in a while. The keeper there told you about the birds, where they came from and also brought some of them out... More

I have loved every visit to this special place. Whether I am solo, with kids or on a date, I thoroughly enjoy spending time walking around this peaceful oasis! The restaurant is a real treat and the grounds are tranquil.

Not a very large place, but the birds of prey on display were hard to beat. Close up viewing (a few feet) through screened hardware cloth made viewing enjoyable. Don't miss this place...a must see. And it's FREE!

On vacation in Colo Springs and went to Pueblo looking for something to do. Decided it was too hot for the zoo so we ended up at the Nature & Raptor center. The Raptor center was small but interesting. Among other things they had some eagles and owls either permanently injured or being rehabbed. We went during the week so... More

You drive up to the Raptor Facility first. It's free, simple, and has some beautiful specimens. We did not attend one of their weekend shows, but they do educational presentations on the birds. A volunteer helped us to find some of the birds that were hiding as well as tell us some of the personality quirks of the birds. They... More

The Nature Center is a gem..there is so much happening there. Besides the restaurant, there's a playground for kids, paved trails to bike or walk on, a deck for fishing, and picnic benches all situated next to the river. It's a great place to be! The Raptor Center is equally interesting. Kids will love spotting the birds in the outdoor... More

My husband and I went last week while attending the Blue Grass Festival at the Nature Center. There is not much shade when you are looking at the birds. We only stayed less than 10 minutes. Most of the birds sat in what shaded area they had in their cages. One eagle looked very stressed sitting on the ground in... More
