“Raptor Facility makes it worth it”

You drive up to the Raptor Facility first. It's free, simple, and has some beautiful specimens. We did not attend one of their weekend shows, but they do educational presentations on the birds. The Nature Center is a gem..there is so much happening there. Besides the restaurant, there's a playground for kids, paved trails to bike or walk on, a deck for fishing, and picnic benches all situated next to the river. It's a great place to be! My husband and I went last week while attending the Blue Grass Festival at the Nature Center. There is not much shade when you are looking at the birds. We only stayed less than 10 minutes. Nice trails along the river, beautiful scenery, dogs are allowed and a jungle gym for the kids too. There is even a nice little coffee shop with really good lunches with a view of the river. It is great!!! More
