Apparently this place was built by a very rich local business man looking for a tax break. It is taxidermy heaven. The preschool crowd really enjoys this place. Go once and be done. If you can visit when you can get free admission then it is worth the $$. Otherwise, it is not worth going. Now, it is a fabulous... More

Besides the I-max movies there's not much left at the Wildlife Experience. The exhibits that are still left are tired and if you've seen them once there is no need to go back.

Very well done museum. It covers wildlife in a number of different habitats with informative activities along the way. The lifelike habitats are exhibited on a spiral pathway leading from the tree tops to the sea. There are also areas for children to be creative: dressing up, putting on puppet shows, pretend food service, etc. The fountain and metal animal... More

I admit it. Got lost trying to find night #1 of Mini Med School. Why didn't that web site just say, "Mini Med at the Wildlife Experience," but no, they just gave an address instead. When we finally got there, we were perplexed because we heard WLE is just a great place for kids. WRONG. There's something very intriguing about... More

A wonderful way to spend the day of evening if your attending one of the several charity events that occur at "The Wildlife Experience". Bring the kids, teens, too! Great knowledge, and wonderful films exhibited here with the regular museum exhibit.

Even though this is not a zoo, the Wildlife Experience is a museum-type attraction with an interesting mix of Rocky Mountain wildlife replicas and water and energy conservation information. There are examples of the sounds they make and they are in the placed in exhibits that show the animals' naturals habitat. It's rarely crowded and kids seem to enjoy it.... More

The members of the southern Denver really lucked out in having this museum built several years ago with walkways that go through all of the different ecosystems, including that of Colorado. Lots of stuffed animals staged throughout the exhibit and a hands-on room with plenty of Native American crafts.
