We were totally surprised to learn that the Palisade, CO area has vineyards! We decided to stop by the Grande River Vineyards & Winery and were not disappointed. As we sampled several different wines, we learned a lot about wines and bought several bottles to take home with us. We would definitely recommend a stop here.

A very pleasant ambiance when you walk in. Easily accessible and some of the longer times for a visit. A knowledgeable and pleasant staff guided us through the tasting, which is complimentary; sharing allowed us to make good choices for what we wanted to bring home. Their Bordeaux blend is "Havin' a Cow" and a great value; all of their... More

We went here first thing in the morning, as we started our tour of the vineyards of Palisade. We hurried back as they were closing at 5:00 that afternoon and the woman who had poured for us remembered every wine we had tasted, which ones we had enjoyed, and which ones we wanted to purchase! Impressive!

This was my first ever wine tasting. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and extremely well versed in all the local wineries. They offered suggestions on places to go and helped us with a map. The wine was top notch - we went to 11 places in one day and this was the best wine by far.

Pours were a bit small, I realize they are just a taste but barely enough to give me the taste I need to know if I want to purchase. They are very good wines though. Super delightful staff but the best part was the gift and sundries!

This vineyard was right next to our hotel so of course we had to stop in. The tasting area was smaller than most I had seen that day but that didn't mean we didn't get the service or attention we needed. The gentleman helping us even pointed me to another vineyard that made a wine I was looking for. We... More

This will be the 5th or 6th time I've visited this place, and it's mainly been for the concerts and for visiting with friends. The wine is decent and the views are amazing. I would have liked to given this place a better review, however the owner (I'm assuming she's the owner because she certainly likes to act important) is... More

Located next to the Wine Country Inn is Grande River's large building. When you step inside the impressive retail shop and see a rather small tasting counter the realization sets in that this building is where it all happens. Our visit was interrupted by the staff member having to take a call from the owner, a large picture of who... More

We really liked this winery. The fact that they opened at 9am when the others opened at 10am (and on Easter Sunday) decided the start of our route. The staff member was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a few weeks ago now so my memory could be a little off but I believe it was 4 free tastings... More

We stopped by after drinking their wine at a local restaurant. Really like their Meritage Red, bought an entire case and had it shipped home. We returned home on a Sunday and wine was delivered Thursday. Staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable wine sommeliers. Well worth the stop, plenty of wines to choose from, staff treats you well. I... More
