This vineyard was right next to our hotel so of course we had to stop in. The tasting area was smaller than most I had seen that day but that didn't mean we didn't get the service or attention we needed. The gentleman helping us even pointed me to another vineyard that made a wine I was looking for. We... More

This will be the 5th or 6th time I've visited this place, and it's mainly been for the concerts and for visiting with friends. The wine is decent and the views are amazing. I would have liked to given this place a better review, however the owner (I'm assuming she's the owner because she certainly likes to act important) is... More

Located next to the Wine Country Inn is Grande River's large building. When you step inside the impressive retail shop and see a rather small tasting counter the realization sets in that this building is where it all happens. Our visit was interrupted by the staff member having to take a call from the owner, a large picture of who... More

We really liked this winery. The fact that they opened at 9am when the others opened at 10am (and on Easter Sunday) decided the start of our route. The staff member was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a few weeks ago now so my memory could be a little off but I believe it was 4 free tastings... More

We stopped by after drinking their wine at a local restaurant. Really like their Meritage Red, bought an entire case and had it shipped home. We returned home on a Sunday and wine was delivered Thursday. Staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable wine sommeliers. Well worth the stop, plenty of wines to choose from, staff treats you well. I... More

We did their free wine tasting and got to try three at no charge, but when two taste you can leverage that into six by sharing, so you get a good feel for most of their offerings. We liked the Malbec and the Meritage, but the best was the 2010 Cabernet Franc. Very nice and friendly folks manning the tasting... More

Very nice winery with helpful staff. Wines from the western slope tend to be on the fruity side, but I had good wines previously from Grande Vineyards and wanted to visit the physical location. Everyone gets 3 complimentary tastings. The tasting area itself isn't very large, and it was a bit crowded that afternoon given that it was the same... More

The winery is located close to the highway and the Wine Country Inn. The wine is very good and they have some cute gift shop items. If you want to try their full line of wines, you can pay $9.95 and you get to keep the glass, otherwise you can do the free wine tasting that has limited samples.

Grand River Vineyards was our first stop on day #3 of the Palisades, CO wine trail. Grande River was first planted around 1987 and is one of the oldest vineyards in the area. They produce about 3-5 thousand cases per year and grow 8 different grape varietals. Their grounds are well cared for and have the natural beauty of the... More

This winery had a great selection of wines, many with multiple rewards. I especially enjoyed their "havin' a cow" red wine!
