This is my favorite winery in Palisade! They have created a playful environment with excellant wines. They give you more than just wines, such as chocolate, pretzels, and a cherry lemonade wine. The Sweet Baby Red wine is my all time favorite! More

I visited Carlson Winery on a trip to Grand Junction with my mom. We purchased some wonderful muscat from them. I love dessert wines and I was pleasantly surprised to taste such great wine. Their winery is quaint in the sense, that you would never know there is this beautiful sitting area behind the tasting room with benches where you... More

Very informative and cute tasting room. The cabernet Sauvignon and Dessert Wines were our favorite. No fee to taste 4 wines More

The owner, Parker Carlson, led us through the tasting himself and shared his 25+ years of Palisade wine knowledge with us. It's a relaxed place, no snobbery, very nice. We especially liked the Gewurztraminer, Peach Wine and Cherry Wine with chocolate. We also liked the Tyrannosaurus Red! More

The staff was extremely nice. Wine is inexpensive and decent. Winery seems to get into fluff wine like fruit flavored , cherry wine with chocolate rimmed plastic cup and a few others . We didn't think too much of this until we had a tour of facility . It is quite small and hands on which is nice. The biggest... More

I enjoyed my experience at Carlson. The winery is tucked between farms and orchards, and it is a peaceful, bucolic setting. I loved the wines--many are sweet, and I really enjoyed their Riesling and fruit wines (esp. cherry). The ladies doing wine tastings were not the friendliest we encountered, but they were helpful when we needed a knife for our... More

Superb wines, very friendly service. It's well worth the effort to get off the beaten track and visit this winery. The hardest part was deciding what not to buy! More

This winery is the most laid back of all. When we walked in the door, one of their siamese cats was lounging on the counter. She was friendly and will let you pet her. The wine tasting was held outside in the back where it is surronded by grape vines. There are nice chairs to sit in while you sip... More

I had been to Palisade to wine taste a couple of times and enjoyed the experience but never fell in love with any of the wineries. A friend highly recommended Carlson Vineyards so we stopped in. I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and beautiful views of the Grand Mesa and Bookcliffs. The Riesling is the best in the state and... More
