Maison La Belle Vie (French for "House of Beautiful Life") was planted 8 years ago. The first vintages from the estate winery, were introduced in 2006 and included Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Rosé and Muscat; a dessert wine that is traditional in the Loire Valley in France. Maison la Belle Vie has now added 3 Reserve wines, a Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot all aged for 4 years as well as the famous Vin de Peche; a Muscat, fortified with peaches - a recipe from John's family that has been handed down through the generations since the late 1800's. A new addition is a hand crafted walnut liquor that is simply delicious.

This place truly had some of the best wine in the area in the opinion of this lover of wines from California/Oregon/Italy/France. It's a really cute spot with a great ambiance and a feeling of being in France. Can't recall the name of the young Australian man who was our server, but he was incredibly friendly and knowledgable about their... More

Youre like family when you stop in to visit "Maison". John and Corey produced what I believe is the best wine in Colorado. The atmosphere is welcoming and it's easy to let go and stay a while. The Reserves and blends are both spot on and the quality to price ratio is hard to beat. They are serving a new... More

Close your eyes before entering the tasting room and be prepared to step into old Italy or France when you get your first look around. Or hunker down outside in the garden under gently swaying trees in the warmth of the season. Either way you will enjoy the wines (three free tastings) and the knowledge of those presenting them. Two... More

This place and John were recommended by two other wineries in Palisade. They were right! We arrived to see a man on a table creating a beautiful light fixture. (Cab Frank) He called for John the vintner and when he arrived he set up glasses for us to taste then apologized for the working going on but that they were... More

Thank you Evan for being such a nice host and letting us enjoy the beautiful yard for our post-tasting picnic. Great wines, friendly staff and beautiful location. Really liked the wine barrel bike rack out front!

We've visited this Winery several times over the past year, as our daughter chose it as the venue for her October, 2014 wedding. The outdoor area of the winery is charming. As John, the owner is French, it has a definite French feel to it. The wine is wonderful, and you can have a great meal there with bread, meats,... More

Bring your own food and grab a bottle of their red blend then sit out in their patio/garden area surrounded by vineyards. Best ambiance of all the wineries.

With just a turn down the driveway, we knew we were going somewhere special. The setting was perfectly nestled in the vineyards under the shade of large trees. The staff was exceptional - friendly and knowledgable about their wine. Don't miss this stop!

Food and wine in one spot to enjoy. Wines were of high quality and the staff was exceptional. Worth the price and time to stop here. Hard to choose with all the choices and tastes. You won't go wrong here.

I was shocked when the charcuterie platter showed up. The platter for 2 is more than 2 people can eat, but we did our best. The proscuitto and salami were both amazing. I highly recommend the Syrah Blend from this winery.
