The first vintages from the estate winery, were introduced in 2006 and included Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Rosé and Muscat; a dessert wine that is traditional in the Loire Valley in France. Maison la Belle Vie has now added 3 Reserve wines, a Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot all aged for 4 years as well as the famous Vin de Peche; a Muscat, fortified with peaches - a recipe from John's family that has been handed down through the generations since the late 1800's. A new addition is a hand crafted walnut liquor that is simply delicious. « less

Wine of the Walnut!! A smooth port that I'll never get enough of!! The front room is small so be patient because the tasting is well worth the wait. All six of us had favorites here; I chose the peach and walnut port but the they were all very good. We found if we were willing to share glasses we... More

We had a sensational and leisurely visit to Maison la Belle. Carla our tasting host and Corey, winemaker and winery manager were wonderful hosts for our morning adventure. Carla was very engaging and attentive while Corey was great describing the wine making, grapes and style of the wines. After a tasting of three wines we settled in on the outside... More

We've been to pretty much all of the wineries in the Palisade area, but Maison La Belle Vie is our favorite. Every single one of their wines was great, it was hard to choose. Cory, who was behind the bar during our visit, was very informative and kind enough to deliver what we purchased to our hotel. Definitely recommend stopping... More

The wine, the cheese platters, the atmosphere, and the owner were some of my favorite parts of this adorable winery. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating and the location is beautiful. We sat an enjoyed the delicious wine with a terrific cheese platter. It made for a beautiful day and we will certainly be returning.

While I'm not a wine expert I thoroughly enjoy a visit now and then to Maison la Belle Vie Winery. I live in the Grand Valley where the winery is and when friends come to visit I make sure I bring them to Maison la Belle Vie. Why? The location is beautiful, a shaded courtyard is more inviting than any... More

Great selection of wines! Not bad on the price either! Sampled several flavors before choosing a bottle to enjoy on the patio, and one to take with us! Must see winery if you enjoy sophisticated wine!

reminded me of an old world style winery. Very nice first impression. First negative... "we limit to two tasters" - but you have more than two wines!!! I understand limits but other wineries that have tasting limits are generally set at 5 so you get a good cross section of their product. Charging for more than two is a put... More

A pleasant, secluded, winery with excellent wines. Inviting, old world setting. Perhaps the best kept secret in Palisade.

The winemaker was in the middle of his work, and stopped to help us to a wine tasting. We were the only ones there--and so we had a nice and informative chat about wine making in this region. We also enjoyed the wine we tasted and bought a couple of bottles. Felt a bit like Europe in Colorado.

Liked this place to sit at a bar and taste with other visitors while it rained and hailed outside. Wines were reds and the owner was a former chef from France and many upscale restaurants.
