What an unexpected great experience and fabulous wine!!! I love Caymus and very rarely does an alternative bottle of Cabernet grab and satisfy my palate but Hermosa did it! I bought a case and checked as luggage to get it back to Madison, WI! Well worth it!

I am writing this in Westminster(front range) and we(wife and I) love this place. My wife and I have visited Hermosa Vineyards 7 times. There is a reason for that. It has everything that is due to the wine, the laid back atmosphere, and beautiful views of the Grand Mesa. This will always be a staple for my wife and... More

Can't fault the place. Ken is fantastic, friendly, funny, personable, down to earth and knows he's got a good product. We loved a few wines but went home with the 2012 cab sav. Plenty of snacks in the tables, fire place going in the open tasting room and no charge for tastings. Will be back, no doubt.

Kenn was absolutely amazing. He is the owner of the Vineyard and takes pride in the wine he creates and sells. Gives you a listed tour of the wines by season and even allowed us to see his production rooms. The wine was incredible especially the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon. Will definitely be going back multiple times.

Very friendly owner and staff. Showed us around and explained the entire process. This is a MUST stop on your wine tour! Oh and the wine is very good especially their dessert cherry wine. A must purchase.

Very hestitent to write this post but we woke up the next day still talking about our experience so here goes. My husband and I enjoyed the wine and tasting experience. The owner was personable and we enjoyed learning about the history of the winery but felt disrespected at the end of our experience. We bought two bottles of wine... More

The owner did not seem happy to see us but when the cute 20 something came in he perked right up. He showed her and her friend to a back deck my husband and I were not invited to. The wine was not very good. He gave the impression of an egotistical, dirty old man. This was not an enjoyable... More

Hermosa Vineyards is a hidden gem just south of the main "Wine Row" of Palisade. It's a bit quieter and more scenic than many of the vineyards in Palisade which have become so terribly trendy over the last several years. The owner, Ken Dunn, is a gracious, hardworking and knowledgeable host and absolutely exudes his passion for excellent wine. He... More

So what does the title mean? It's a real, working winery, with an outside tasting area. The owner/winemaker was pouring the wine that day, which is a great touch, especially for an oenophile. Excellent, well-aged wines. The attention to detail is evident in one of the better wineries I've been to.
