I used to own a timeshare in Pagosa Springs and every time I went for my week I went to the stables and rode the tail. It was a guided trail and about ten or twelve riders followed the trail into the hills above, going up and down the trails. We went to the top of one large hill and... More

Strongly recommend 2 hour trip or more. Frankly the one hour ride was not long enough. No trotting horses however. Great horses on the property, they look quite fed and satisfied, god owners take care of them. Easy ride into the canyon and back.

The staff at Diamond Hitch we very friendly and accommodating. Took a two hour ride but wish it had been longer. Saw many deer along the trail! All horses were well behaved and trained. I would highly recommend them!

Nothing Super, but was an enjoyable evening to be outside in the view of the mountains as the sun set.

We took the 2 hour ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some grades to maneuver as we descended Martinez Canyon and returned that made it interesting. However none of them were too steep for any of us to feel unsafe. We had four riders from inexperienced (1previous ride) to a 14 year old who has taken English riding lessons.... More

The people are nice, the horses seem well cared for. The trail is pretty. However, the trail ride was a nose-to-tail ride. Any time I tried to get my horse to ride slightly to the side of the trail to get its nose out of the tail of the horse in front, the guide asked me to get back in... More

The owner is friendly and welcomed our group of beginner riders. We ran late for our scheduled ride time and he was accommodating by shifting the appointment time a bit later on short notice. Beautiful scenery for a trail ride.

Please keep in mind that Wyndham, the only agent for hayrides for Diamond Hitch, will be trying the fix the problems that we have addressed. If you are making separate arrangements with Diamond Hitch, do not worry. As Wyndham guests, we went to Diamond Hitch in advance, and were told that the hayride would be approximately 40-45 minutes. We were... More

While spending the week at Pagosa Springs, I decided to take my 2yr old daughter on a trail ride experience as she loves horses. The wranglers at Diamond Hitch were super nice, friendly, professional, and made sure to match a horse to my child. The wrangler that rode with my daughter was fabulous, and my daughter still talks about Miss... More
