I was a little sceptical about having dinner at a cabin in the woods that has no power or running water but what a pleasant surprise I was in for. We were met in the snow covered parking lot by a sleigh pulled by two huge horses. After a beautiful, moonlit ride through the woods we arrived at the cabin... More

I could not wait to go horseback riding in Bayfield, CO and, unfortunately, found all the nearest stables were closed. I called Astraddle-A-Saddle (last minute) and they were more than happy to work me in for essentially a private ride. The trail ride was absolutely amazing...Gary was the best guide- he is informative- yet also gives enough space so you... More

We, the parents, will never forget the smiles that your horses and the ride gave our children. The trail ride and the view was outstanding. Our guide, Cheyenne was amazing! She was patient and kept the kids informed of how to ride, the history of the horses and the area. We can't express how much your ride has left such... More

Just got back from a two hour trail ride. The trail up through the mountain was excellent. Plenty of scenic vistas looking down into the valleys and over to the snow capped mountains. Gary was our guide. He was great with the novice riders, answered all our questions, and helped make the ride a memorable experience. Ask him about his... More

What more can be said? We had an awesome time celebrating New Year's Eve with the Astraddle A Saddle family. We booked their sleigh ride to dinner in a rustic cabin for our family of 4 and couldn't have been more pleased. The sleigh ride was the perfect length. The rustic cabin was a quaint cabin with lots of character.... More

You hop on a covered wagon pulled by Clydesdales and head up a short hill to the camp fire site. The food was fabulous and plentiful: brisket, chicken, sausage, beans (which were really a meal in themselves), corn, rolls, salad, apple cobbler...all you can eat and all delicious. After dinner was a campfire and a sing along with a lovely lady... More

My family....Mom, Dad, brother and husband did this sleigh ride to the rustic cabin dinner and I have to say it was one of the greatest moments in my life that I will remember forever. The flakes were falling peacefully and the dinner was divine. It was Christmas card perfect.

We were looking to our wagon ride and the BBQ. Except for the food and the singing, we were disappointed. There was no welcome from anyone, just there's the drinks over there and grab a plate and help yourself!!! The gal who gathered us around the fire and lead us in songs was very welcoming and played very well. She... More

These folks make a fine effort. But in comparison to other sleigh/ride dinners we have been on, most notably last year at Steamboat Springs, this is a far cry. For $50 per head, we got a 10-minute ride in a wheeled trailer (not enough snow for a sleigh), an average dinner of tilapia for my wife and prime rib for... More

We took a 2 hr. trail ride with Gary (the owner) up and around the mountainside. Bring bottled water you will have a saddlebag on one of the horses. 2 hours was about 30min. too long in my opinion, my buttocks agreed with that opinion the next day! So, I recommend an hour ride. No experience is necessary. We will... More
