Relax at the Overlook Hot Springs!
An unassuming building in downtown Pagosa Springs houses a surprisingly wonderful spa experience. The service was very friendly and helpful; multiple choices of naturally-heated spring water at varying temperatures; nice and clean locker room with showers; not busy at all on a Wednesday afternoon. Great value for the money!

    Memorable vacation
My friend and I discovered this place on a road trip that took us to Pagosa Springs. We were amazed by the staff and their wonderful hospitality. From the moment we walked in the door till the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. After our massage, we soaked off and on in various tubs and it was the most wonderful experience either of us have had. We look forward to the next time we can return to get such rewarding rejuvenation. We had to buy t-shirts and hats so we could visually remember the experience.

    Best kept secret in Pagosa
Get away from the thundering hoards at other hot springs in the heart of Pagosa and find this spot right on the main street. There are sweet private tubs in an Italian-like garden, indoor tubs if it's cold, cold or upstairs overlook pools at the tippy top. You can also schedule a massage, which we have on past occasions. We were alone in our "Italian garden" and soaked our weary bones. You could plan on spending several hours here. Soak, cool off, sun, repeat then have a beer (for sale at the front counter). Desk personnel are friendly and personable.

    Weekend getaway
Everyone at this spa is very helpful and friendly. Had a massage and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing touch. Prior to the massage, had a soak in the sulfur tubs outside as we were not used to the sulfur smell of the indoor tubs. After the massage, staff provided a healthy pour of wine and we relaxed in the rooftop tubs...very fun!. Really enjoyed this spa and would recommend to friends and/or family traveling to this area.

Good pricing for a nice hot springs experience
Multiple hot tubs in a Main Street building and rooftop that overlooks the San Juan River across the street. Very reasonable pricing @ less than $20 PP. Clean and different temps offered in a variety of tubs. Also a cold soak. The most economical way to enjoy the hot springs in Pagosa.

I didn’t want to spend the entire day, just looking for 3 - 4 hours of relaxation. I just couldn’t see spending $100 for the adult only area across the street. A local recommended the Overlook to us, and I’m so happy she did. I didn’t even realize they had an adult only courtyard. They have 6 individual tubs and a large square jacuzzi style tub, that will fit 8 easily. I saw several couples sharing the individual tubs. But never more than 4 of the 6 being used at a time. When we first arrived there was a family of nine up on the roof so we just avoided the roof. After a couple hours in the back courtyard we came inside and use the inside tubs. There are four inside. I have been hesitant about using the inside tubs because people said the smell was so bad, but I didn’t have any problem with the smell personally. After about an hour inside we went upstairs to the roof and found both pools overlooking the street to be open and sat there for a while there’s also another Jacuzzi up there that we did not use as well as a sauna. I counted 14 total tubs. Another reviewer mentioned there are 15, there may be another one back in the area where they do massages that we didn’t see.

Overall it was a lovely experience. Josh and Matt took wonderful care of us. I highly recommend the Overlook.

We went on the Monday after the 4th of July (so I’m figuring that would be like a normal Sunday). It was about 11 when we got there, and stayed until 2. We had plenty of access to any area we wanted without feeling like we had to wait. The restrooms / changing areas were clean. And lots of nice amenities in the locker restroom area.

We only did the roof top pools, but they were great! The showers were beautiful and retro with small tiles and rainfall shower heads. I mentioned to my wife that there was a heater vent blowing warm air on me from the ceiling as I emerged from the shower, and she said they had the same thing in the women's shower! What a thoughtful touch! They were not crowded on Saturday afternoon, and they are much less expensive than the packed pools across the street. We were told the water temperature varies, but we thought it was perfect.

Very laid back and relaxing in several different environments. Staff is attentive and pleasant. Loved the rooftop tubs. A great place to wind down after a day skiing. Don't think the jets were working in the rooftop hot tub but stuff breaks; I am sure they will fix it.
Drink prices moderate; five bucks for a beer or glass of wine not out of line with the area. We will go back next time we hit town.

We did some research on hot springs in the area and decided on this one. We had planned on going to the more expensive one across the street, pagosa resort but we are so glad we didn't because it actually looked nothing like the photos. The staff at the overlook were beyond nice and friendly, even serving drinks to us in the rooftop pool. The drinks were really cheap, $3-$5 for a beer! The rooftop pools were lovely and the view was hard to beat, we spent all our time here! The one downside is the pools stink from the Sulphur (and your swimmers and towels will too!) The restrooms are big, spacious and clean. We paid $16 each for day entry and they told us if we wanted to leave for food and come back that we were welcome to. Definitely check this place out!

We paid $36 for unlimited soaking, two towel rentals, and two beers. We had the Courtyard and individual tubs all to ourselves for 2+ hours on a Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience in the hot springs baths at the Overlook Hot Springs Spa. Spent 30 minutes in the spring water before a 90 minute deep tissue massage and 45 minutes after. Sophia was my massage therapist and she was phenomenal. So good I booked back to back weekend massages with her. When you book a massage you get the use of the hot springs tubs, including the roof top pools, a robe and a towel. Nice clean bath and shower facilities as well. I will be going back.

We arrived after dinner, and enjoyed a long soak.

We spent an hour in the rooftop tubs, overlooking the street, the San Juan river, and the springs below. The tubs were very warm, but the Overlook offers cool drinks to keep you hydrated. There was also a mister, and a sauna up top.

In the courtyard, the individual tubs weren’t quite as hot as those on the roof, but it was lovely to sit back and watch the stars emerge while relaxing in the tub.

Staff were super-friendly. Mid-week evening wasn’t overcrowded.

Will go again before we leave.

Peaceful, quiet place to soak in hot springs pools. We really appreciated the indoor soaking pools, since we went in the middle of the day and didn’t want additional sun exposure. Very clean, with great staff. Plus, half the cost of the better known hot springs across the street! Glad we came.

I had the very best massage EVER at the Overlook!! Maria is a phenomenal masseuse. She incorporated hot towels and hot stones into her Swedish massage and I have never felt better. We arrived an hour before our massage was scheduled to change and soak and soaked some more after. The entire Overlook staff was great and wine and beer was a nice bonus at very affordable prices. I’m glad the Springs Resort across the street was booked, otherwise we would never have found The Overlook Hot Springs and Spa. We will definitely be back next time we are in Pagosa!!
