Very cool. You can walk right up to it and get great photos. You can drive to the entrance and just have to walk a short distance to the falls. As I understand it doesnt always flow. This year they had plenty of rain. I would highly recommend.

Went there in early June, so we had the falls to ourselves at that moment. For us, it was spectacular. It's not even a hike at all from the parking lot; we walked from our hotel. On a hot day in July and August, it is likely even more refreshing.

Visited the Cascade Falls near Ouray, CO. Two senior citizens walked from parking area up to the Falls - about 300 yards. Not too difficult but wear walking shoes and be steady on feet. Several children were also making the ascent with us! Absolutely gorgeous falls - so much water since Colorado has had plenty of rain in the past... More

There is a short but kinda rocky hike up to the falls. Once you get up there you can feel the spray on you and hear the awesome sound of the falls. Well worth it.

We enjoyed the short walk to the base of the waterfall from the parking lot, although we could have easily walked he few short blocks from town if it hadn't been threatening rain. The falls are beautiful!

The hike is a tiny bit taxing, but too short to be much of a bother at all. It's right in town, so you don't have to travel to get there. The parking lot is tiny, but we have never had problems (I'll admit we travel during 'off' times, though). In a few short minutes you are right there...up close... More

We took this hike with our three small children. It was beautiful and they still see the pictures and want to go again! I would highly recommend this quick, easy hike for anyone visiting Ouray!

Fun short hike, love the spot. Very relaxing to watch and listen to the water. Right in town. Good place for a picnic lunch.

This is a little bit of an uphill climb probably easy for some, but short hike and well worth the time.
