This was a beautiful waterfall with great places to take pictures. We saw one group of people taking senior pictures there. It would also be a great place to take engagement or bride pictures. You do have to do some climbing, but nothing that can't be done in the right pair of shoes.

Be sure to put this on your short list of things to do in Ouray. The trailhead is at the end of a steep street, and while the trail to the base of the falls is rather steep, it's also short, and easy to do for families with young kids. There is no charge for the hike, and kids can... More

Signs showing where to go. Plenty of parking & no charge to see it. Nice walk to the falls. Did it in flip flops because I didn't have other shoes w/me, but wear better shoes if you have them. Can essentially walk up underneath the falls... Very refreshing & relaxing! Plenty of rocks to sit on to just relax &... More

This beautiful little gem is free, close to downtown, and offers a kid friendly hike to the base of the falls. There is also a covered bench area allowing a close and beautiful view of the falls, without the short hike.

This is a short easy hike that takes you to a beautiful fall. You can't beat that! Perimeter Trail wii also swing you by here, but I preferred just hiking from its trailhead.

It is worth the walk. The trail is rocky and uneven, but you get to see the falls quickly. You an climb as much or as little as you want. The parking area at the bottom is small, so If you are up for the perimeter trail you can see the falls and more, and on a busy weekend not... More

Make time to go to Cascade Falls. Even if you don't hike any of the trails, walk up to the base of the falls and just take it all in!

Worth the hike. Not too bad up to bridge where there is a nice covered bench viewing area. And you can then cross bridge and hike on up to waterfall. Steep hike but so worth it.

This waterfall, and trail can be easily accessed from downtown Ouray. You are able to drive to within a couple hundred yards of the waterfall. A nice trail from the parking lot takes you to a viewing spot, along with a bridge over the roaring waters that will get you even closer. Don't miss it if you're in Ouray.
