Make time to go to Cascade Falls. Even if you don't hike any of the trails, walk up to the base of the falls and just take it all in!

Worth the hike. Not too bad up to bridge where there is a nice covered bench viewing area. And you can then cross bridge and hike on up to waterfall. Steep hike but so worth it.

This waterfall, and trail can be easily accessed from downtown Ouray. You are able to drive to within a couple hundred yards of the waterfall. A nice trail from the parking lot takes you to a viewing spot, along with a bridge over the roaring waters that will get you even closer. Don't miss it if you're in Ouray.

We enjoyed this short hike to see Cascade Falls. While at the base a local told us we should really hike a bit further up and get behind the falls. We did as he suggested. The trail is narrow and you had to duck down under some rocks, but once you get back behind the falls it was awesome! You... More

The trail up to the falls is quite easy. Once you get there the magnificence of the falls is awe inspiring!

This is a beautiful waterfall at the back of town with just a very short 1/8-1/4 mile trek up a trail. It is so nice to make the easy hike up to it on a trail and be so quickly at the base of it. Children and parents should be able to make it to the bottom of the fall... More

I had noticed this waterfall from downtown. It was beautiful. I originally thought it was the Box Canyon Falls based on what another tourist had said. When we arrived to the falls it was well marked that we were at the Cascade Falls. We started off on this hike with 2 adults and 2 older teens. We hiked to the... More

This falls can be seen from several places in town and from the Box Canyon Falls Park on the other side of the valley. The park is maintained by the city of Ouray and is free. There is a good parking area. No restrooms. It is off one of the city streets but not well marked, so we didn't discover... More

Beautiful, easy hike. We took kids from 4 - 10. We had one in our group that was just 4 months post major ankle surgery that did well. It was not overcrowded.

This was a fun little trail perfect for families. Leads up to a view of the falls which by themselves were nice (worth the hike) but not spectacular.
