Great hike!

Great hike which has a little of everything. Elevation climb is about 700 feet but it offers some spectacular views so it is worth it.

Choose how long you would like to walk. This circular trail encompasses Ouray - take in the box canyon falls and cascade falls.

This was the 2nd time I've done this perimeter trail around Ouray. An excellent, medium-level difficulty, 3-4 hr. hike with a lot of different terrain and great views of the town from many points along the way. One thing to look out for is a closed portion of the trail on the south end of town…we were told by the... More

This is a fine trail to get used to the altitude when first arriving in town. It takes you around the town with some great views, and at spots, it gets your heart pumping.

We enjoyed most of this track around Ouray. We parked at the visitor's center, got a map and started the hike clockwise. Loved the beginning as we ascended to cliffs on the way to Lower Cascade Falls. Great views of the town along the cliff wall. The falls were cool. I liked the climb up to the Potato Patch, nice... Great trail and not too difficult but it is long. 2 reroutes - be sure to follow the signs and follow the roadway. This trail includes the Lower Cascade Falls as well as Baby Bathtubs and the upper portion of Box Canyon Falls.

We were surprised with the vistas on this hike. We expected less and got more. It wasn't tough but was rewarding.

Get out and enjoy moutain air! A hike around Ouray and all of its glory. Take your time and see the sights of an old mining town with layers of history.

This loop trail is a great way to get used to Ouray's altitude before taking on a more demanding hike. All around the loop you get great views of the town and surrounding scenery. There are some lung busting ascents, but find your pace, bring some water and know that from most places on the trail you can always drop... More

The Ouray Perimeter Trail is a good way to spend the day when you are in the area. An pleasant hike, but not a "walk in the park" with plenty of up and down.
