"A must for anyone in Ouray!" I visited Ouray in late October, I was a little late to see all the colors. Most of the jeep tour companies were all closed. I came all the way from Minnesota, and I was just hoping that maybe there would be someone that would still offer a ride. Well, I was wandering down... More

This was the best part of our vacation. It couldn't have been a better trip unless we would have gone for the entire day trip. Which we will do next time. Our driver was great and knew everything. You can't appreciate the mountains unless you do this. So much to take in and you can look and leave the driving... More

San Juan jeep tour located in Western Hotel is the BEST. Ask for Greg. Greg was our guide and is very knowledgeable on the history of the mines and the roads. The scenery is spectacular and be sure to take your camera for awesome pictures. The price is well worth the trip.

Went to Yankee Boy Basin in the morning. 1.5 hr. lunch break and returned for Imogene Pass after lunch. Got snow and sheet on top and rain on the way down but still fun. Guide had a lot of information and was always checking to see if everyone was comfortable. I'd do it again tomorrow if I was still in... More

Went to the top of Red Mountain 3 with Keith today - awesome trip! The drive on the million dollar highway was spectacular from the jeep and we stopped to take pictures of the mountain we'd eventually be on top of. San Juan Jeeps has special access to the a private road that was crazy steep at the way top.... More

One of the most amazing back road jeep tours! Our guide, Rick, was awesome - personable and possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of the local history. The vistas were amazing - 14,000' peaks, waterfalls, wild flowers and wildlife - all providing a breathtaking experience. Dress in layers as it can be cool at 10,000+ feet. Thanks Rick!!

One of the most beautiful views I have ever seen at 12,900 ft. Not only was it picturesque, but our guide shared many interesting facts and stories about the history of this mining community. It was well worth the money and time.

It was awesome with comfy benches and this is huge since I rode so many trips in back of army jeep with no cushion. Great scenery. Guide had great knowledge! Thanks all.

My family took the Red Mountain - Highway to Heaven jeep tour today with San Juan Jeeps. The trip was AWESOME!! San Juan Scenic Tours is the only company in Ouray who have access to this route. Rick was a great tour guide. He is one of the most interesting gentleman I have ever met. He had a lot of... More
