Ouray, Colorado is one of the most quaint and delightful towns I've ever visited. It you want quiet enjoyment of nature, this is the place for you. It is nestled into the Rocky Mountains and has great views. My favorite "rock shop" is located there---The Columbine. You won't find a better selection of minerals and certainly no better prices anywhere.

After a long day of hiking, a nice meal in town, what could be better than a nice long soak in a hot mineral spring pool. Most of the pools are 3-4 feet deep with some deeper cooler areas. It was also a nice way to meet a lot of foreigners and make friends. We went 2 nights in a... More

Pools were very relaxing after a long day of wheeling the Alpine Loop. Only problem were the bats diving around your head.

This outdoor pool area has several different sections with different activities and water temperatures. They had suits, towels, and goggles for rent. Things were fairly clean and spacious.

The Ouray Hot Springs Pool is unique in the world of hot springs in that it doesn't have a sulfurous odor as do most hot springs (e.g. Glenwood Springs pool). It was not overcrowded on the days we went, and there were lots of attractions with short(er) lines, like a couple of slides and an in-water obstacle course. The hot... More

I'm not used to hot springs with kid pools but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. We are used to more adult hot springs (Arkansas, Ojo Caliente NM, Glenwood, Vapor Caves Ouray etc.) so I decided to not go in the day when children are everywhere but waited until after 7pm when more adults take over the huge pools.... We've made this one of our stops during our many trips to Ouray over the past 29 years. The admission fee is very modest, the locker rooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The pools are great. The lifeguards are very attentive, so you can feel comfortable with the kids. Three years ago, I accidentally left my shaving kit,... More

The pools offer a relaxing way to enjoy the hot water in a family friendly environment. Out kids loved the slides and the obstacle course. There's a swimming test required of younger kids for the deeper areas, but it's not overly onerous. My wife and I enjoyed trying the different temperature pools. It was nice, relaxing, and a beautiful way... More

As we passed through town., there was a large hot springs pool, looked nice, but not anything like Glenwood Springs Spa, and hotel., there seems to be some problem with the heating and getting it warm enough to enjoy., however, I saw plenty of families, etc., in the pool. I can't remember if it is free., but, that comes to... More

Very nice hot springs pool, outdoor, huge! Many different pools w/ different temps, some water slides, a blow up obstacle course, and plenty of room to sit and soak. Clean dressing rooms/showers. Snack bar had some delicious sandwiches and snacks. Think you can bring your own if you like. Very relaxed, family friendly, date friendly, highly recommend!
