We heard about the ice climbers so while we were in Ouray we wanted to take the opportunity to view these dare devils. The climbers are amazing and the sight of all the huge icicles is beautiful.

The Box Canyon waterfall is awesome, and it's easy to get to. There is a small fee for entering the park, but it's worth it, and the folks in the office/gift shop are very helpful. You can also take a trail to the top of the falls, which is a short hike, but quite steep.

This is worth the price of admission ($4). It is a short drive from the center of town. It is an easy walk if you take the lower route to the falls or a more strenuous one if you take the upper walk over the falls. It's a scenic view either way. The lower walk is a little chilly once... More

Definitely worth the $4 admission. Take the high route to see the falls from above, after seeing them at ground level.

This short little hike was worth it. The box canton is a very cool attraction and so random, but awesome. The water coming out of it is an incredible blue color that you can't really explain unless you go. so GO!

This is a small city park featuring a loud falls which can more be heard than seen. If you are not in good shape and acclimated to the altitude the hike to the falls and the high bridge overlooking the park is challenging. Tough it out and go see it!

Really cool narrow canyon with river gushing forth. Parts of the path were a little slippery in the gravel/loose dirt for shoes that didn't have good tread - wished I'd taken my walking stick with me.

This canyon is spectacular - much nicer than I was expecting!. If you are a photography fan you will enjoy the colors and unusual formations of the rocks from the bottom of the canyon, then hike up and around the bridge and through to the trail. Great views of the town. A "must do" in Ouray!

We did the perimeter trail starting at box canyon and it was a beautiful and exciting hike. One of the best views in the city.
