We went to Wiesbaden for the hot springs in a "cave" which really looked very artifical when we got there. It looked more like someone's basement. We made the most of our $15 (which gave us a 3-hour stay) by going in and out of the hot springs then upstairs to the outdoor pool to enjoy the view of the... More

We did not stay at the property although it's very cute in a 70's kind a way. It's the best $15 spent in Ouray for a 3 hour experience. There is a swimming pool outdoors that is quiet and lovely fed by the hot springs, but the real experience is below ground in what was once Chief Ouray's ritual cave.... More

The hot springs and vapor cave at Wiesbaden Spa was absolutely heavenly. The outdoor pool is a constant feed mineral hot spring and completely relaxing at around 102 degrees. The resort provides noodles to float on and very comfortable chairs around the perimeter of the pool. The vapor cave is an awesome experience, a hot 18" pool at 108 degrees... More

Wow! Have never been in a vapor cave, and what an experience! Again, going in winter ensured that we had the room to ourselves. It is a shallow, very hot, very humid cave, that at first made me feel like I couldn't breathe. Once we got used to the feeling, it was very relaxing to sit and enjoy. You could... More

Don't go her if you want to get lectured on smoking. Thought spas were suppose to be relaxing. The lady at the desk..Owner...denied us because we had smoked a cigarette in the past 3 months..hmmm..said someone had anaphylaxis because they smoked. So we went to Orvis Hot Springs where they had a smoking section. No one had any issues..just saying.

The pool isn't bad either, but the hot water and air of the Vapor Cave is just what winter needs to be put in her place. Every time we come, we talk about staying the weekend, but we just don't seem to find the time. The bargain about staying there is that the cost of the hot spring spa is... More

It is worth the extra couple dollars to use this Hot Springs, especially beautiful in late September on a nice evening with snow capped mountains

This was our 2nd visit in 10 years. This visit was lacking in a welcoming feeling. The front desk lady seemed more intent on telling us the rules than making us feel welcome. The room was small, clean and fairly new remodeling of the bathroom which worked well. There was a 12" TV with about 5 channels including CNN but... More

I love their vapor cave and simple facilities they offer. The service is great when She, this great employee lady, is there to welcome you. Otherwise be ready for a cold welcome. And just don't call for a reservation, we tried to stay there twice in two years (we are locals), but both times we were asked to call back,... More

I really enjoyed the vapor cave. The water was quite hot for soaking, the ambiance dark and mysterious. The building could use some renovation, though, particularly the maze-like basent cave level. I felt a bit like I was imposing on the staff simply by checking in and handing them my money. I left in a state of total peaceful bliss,... More
