Hard to imagine a bad place to play golf but this tops the list. The greens were like playing plinko with all the fungus in them. Staff was to say the least very unacomidating. Will never return to this course when I visit here again.

The golf course is priced right and very challenging but the price of a hot dog is outrageous ! First class prices with second class food in the club house.

Played here yesterday for the first time. All of the fairways were in decent to great shape. Some of the greens were in need of minor repair (nothing serious). Most of the areas around the greens and the greens themselves seemed very saturated, and very soft. There are a few holes you could possibly drive, but there are many (a... More

The course itself is coming around, the green is a little bumpy, but it is being worked on. Beautiful scenery and homes, the course itself is a little challenge. If you shoot in the 80's, I think the course will be fine. If you hits your balls everywhere, you will be in severe trouble. This is a link style course... More

The good Course and surroundings look nice that's where it ends If you hit every fairway this course is for you If you hit very green this course is for you If you don't then prepare for aggravation The rough is too penal If miss green good luck finding your ball Pace of play is slow because people are looking... Played 3 weeks ago and the greens were still in very rough shape. Fairways were in decent shape but overall the course was in poor shape.

Wonderful scenery of the Rocky mountains. Not expensive, and it was always easy to get a tee time. But due to critical water shortages, it's been shut down and is no more. The condition of some of the greens over the last two years was a dead giveaway. We knew it was going to shut down sooner or later. Tsk... More

Kings Deer resident and father have reopened the course. The website is up and running and you can make on line reservations there. Golfnow cannot make Kings Deer Golf reservations. Anyone know the course condition? Hopefully playing this weekend.

Kings Deer WAS one of the better el paso county courses. Challenging, playable, fun. Not world class by any means, but a great community-based golf course. The driving range is convenient and you could most days hit off grass rather than a rubber mat. The carts were in reasonable shape, as well as the course. Last years the greens were... More

Over the years my friends and I have played Kings Deer quite often. We just played again early in July 2013. The greens are in horrible condition--not only are they not green but they are very bumpy and it's a pure guess whether a good putt is going to turn away or a missed putt is going to go in... More
