Contains a lot of local history

If you are a history buff this is a nice place to visit. A lot of interesting displays, love the old farm equipment.

If you want to know Montrose's history, this is the place to find out. We throughlly enjoyed this museum.

I have never had such a wonderful experience in any museum anywhere! The founder of this phenomenal museum personally toured us through every nook and cranny of his remarkable labor of love. Ten bucks a head, no discounts. "Too many baby boomers to give a senior discount." Well excuse me! Lots of the exhibits mis-labeled. Skip it.

When passing through Montrose we decided to take a quick look at this museum. It's located in the old railway station and run by enthusiastic amateurs. But there's a vast and eclectic range of objects to view ranging from a pioneer cabin, agricultural equipment, tools, railway memorabilia including a caboose, household and fashion items, radios, toys and more.
