Good clean fun. Always a good time and did I mention the home made fries? Yummy! This is a family owned and operated business and they are all very friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere! Brings back fun memories of going to the drive in as a kid. Haven't tried the food yet though as we usually bring in our own pizza and drinks. Wear layers for those chilly CO nights! Price is great too!

We had done lots of research on things to do in Colorado, Arizona and Utah for a road trip we were doing and the Star Drive In seemed to get lots of great reviews. So we planned our trip to include Montrose so that we could visit a traditional Drive In Theater (we don't have any drive in theaters in... More

Only 355 drive-ins left in the US? What could one possibly say about a dwindling cultural classic other than "WOW! gotta go before they're all gone" ... they show popular new releases, the parking is great, they sell food and drink, people are generally well-behaved, it's a summer-time must for the locals. In fact, we're going tonight. Be sure to... More

Bathrooms are spotless, cost of snacks is reasonable and you get 2 movies for I think 7 dollars. Movies are current and not out of date. Also check out their market, they have a farm market down the road!

This drive inn in Montrose is awesome--one of the last true drive ins in the country--outdoor seating in the car, fogging up the windows....watching the movie of course. Concession stand, sound of the movies coming through your car speakers...and they play first run movies as well! Two per night--how can it get any better than this?Nothing better than watching the... This was like stepping back in time, except for the ability to get sound on our FM radio! You still have the option of using the traditional speakers as well. Sound and picture quality were very good. Do not miss the opportunity to eat at the snack bar. The prices are very reasonable and the burgers are awesome! Don't miss... More

This is one of the remaining Drive-Ins of yesteryear. The old style snackbar in the middle still smells of popcorn. Metal encased speakers hang from posts (or you can choose to use your FM radio ... Boo). Kids lie on car roofs or hoods until it gets too cold or they fall asleep. Reminds me of the 60's when I... More
