We booked our tickets online and decided to do rather a morning trip. Which was good as the afternoon clouded over. The staff were very friendly. Once on the cog you can not move around and there is not toilet. Go to restroom before starting on trip especially with kids. We were lucky to have a front row seat which... More

This cog railway is quite an experience. If you want to enjoy a scenic but cramped trip up Pikes Peak, then this is the thing for you. You will arrive about thirty minutes before you embark on this 2 hours up and 2 hours back trip. What is nice about this is that you have a guide who will point... More

Friends and I decided at last minute to ride the Cog! It was truly an exciting trip ever! Here I must say that if you are traveling through Colorado or have not taken a trip yet and has lived in Colorado for a long time to call and reserve and not miss such a great opportunity! Gorgeous experience ever!

I have to day that this was not only a unique experience but way overdue. I couldn't believe I had lived in Colorado this long and just finally got a chance to take this ride. The history that the conductor explains is very exciting and was great knowledge to take back with us. We saw many animals going to the... More

We were not able to get to the very top on the train because of blizzard conditions. It was crazy the change in weather at that altitude! It was sunny and beautiful at the bottom. We were able to get out about half way up I think and look around at the views. There were also washrooms located here. Great... More

We were able to take this ride after it snowed overnight, the view was beautiful and different than it is other times of year. We weren't able to go all the way to the top, but it was still worth the ticket price.

If you want to experience climbing one of the 14'rs in Colorado, climb Pike's Peak and let the Cog Railway do all of the huffing and puffing for you. Sit back, relax and enjoy a ride up the peak viewing all of the flora and fauna (Bald Eagles, Mountain Goat, Big Horn Sheep anyone?)...let alone the panoramic views! When you... More

Leisurely trip to the top on this historic cog railway but the payout was at the top with the 360 degree panoramic view. Beware the air is so thin for us Midwesterners, you need to take it slowly

Took a very relaxing train ride up Pikes Peak and learnt a thing or two about how the Cog Railway works and the history behind it. Was very interesting and thoroughly enjoyable, for teens and adults alike. Was nice to just take in the views after doing a lot of driving and was a personal highlight for me on a... More

A real highlight of our trip. You can see to Kansas, OK, NM and the curvature of the earth. It is easy to understand the inspiration behind America the Beautiful after visiting here.
