Enjoyed the ride to the top. I wasn't up for the hike every though the weather was perfect for it. Beautiful views and enjoyed the ride up with some Aussies who were visiting the states. Cool at the top and clear views when we were there. Wish I could have stayed up longer!

We took my niece on the 2nd train on March 7,2015. We couldn't go to the top due to snow. We stopped at a nice area for photos on the way down, It was beautiful. We were warned about the stream, but not about the ice that had NOT been salted. Going to the "portie pots" was icy as well.... More

Although you can hike or drive to the top of Pike's Peak, this is by far the best way to get there in my opinion. Just sit back and relax and enjoy the view and let someone else do the driving. We didn't actually make it all the way to the top the day my brother and I rode the... More

Sold tickets to Pike's Peak when everyone who works there knows summit trips won't start until next month. Basically a crowded bus ride with the destination being a 45 minute stop at a group of porta-pottys. The agent over the phone led me to believe that there was a possibility of the tracks being cleared and reaching the summit. Apparently... More

The Cog Railway is a great way to see and travel to the top of Pikes Peak. You have a great view from any seat and it's plodding pace gives you plenty of time to take in the sights. I discovered that I'm scared of heights when I tried to drive up Pikes Peak but I'm never concerned with that... More

As the railway ascended I was so amazed at all of the beautiful landscape we saw. The conductor was very knowledgeable and made us chuckle in both directions. Friendly staff and comfortable seating. Make sure to take plenty of water and dress warm.

We went for spring break, due to weather it couldn't go all the way to the top. However the views were still great, the conductor was very informative and funny. Buy your tickets early. (They give you assigned seats which is nice) Have rows in sets of 2 and 3 seats and the chairs face each other. Kids loved it.

This train is a great way to see Pikes Peak! I did not get to see the top due to 12 feet of snow being on the tracks but it was still beautiful. I have a slight fear of heights and I did fine most of the ride. The two parts that made me nervous were: when we got close... More
