Their special shows are always worth attending - fine museum for the small town that Longmont is. The Lego exhibit currently running is a lot of fun for the young at heart.

The museum has a series of small but very interesting exhibits....so if in Longmont, see what is on. Japanese kimonos....Lego structures, quilts, John Audubon's personal items from his trips....never know, but all have been worthwhile. There is also a nice intro to the history of Longmont, used to educate school children, so lots of hands on displays....and if you climb... More

We saw a travelogue about Longmont in the 40's and also a selection of paintings and photos of the Longmont of the past, too. An easy and friendly place to visit and learn about our culture.

We went for the Lego exhibit which was the coolest thing here! Just a summer exhibit so they must rotate year round. Kids 5 and under are free, otherwise $5 a person. Great way to kill some time with the kids!

There is then a hands-on area for kids to build and play with all sizes and styles of the colorful little bricks. The bummer was that there... More

Nice nice museum. Not expensive. Lots of fun interesting areas for kids. Changing exhibits are "just the right size" for a little break at a museum

I don't know how they pull it off, but each temporary exhibit is more impressive than the one before it.

The Museum does a terrific job bringing in interesting exhibitions for the entire family! They brought in hands on displays demonstrating electricity in the city of Longmont..Currently there is a Dorothes Lange and Maynard Dixon exhibit.. The grankids looks forward to The Amzing World of Lego coming in June.

Always something interesting at this museum. Be sure to visit the third floor for an outstanding view of Long's Peak.

We recently visited and thoroughly enjoyed the temporary Dia de los Muertos exhibit. It was fascinating. Don't miss it.
