This is an intimate museum that will never overwhelm. It has local history and hosts traveling exhibits, from Audubon to Legos. My favorite is the yearly Day of The Dead Exhibit. Day of the Dead is a No Miss event! The little store is a great stop for interesting, cultural and educational gifts. I have not attended any music events... More

Diarama exhibits illustrating western history are interesting and we enjoyed the special exhibit of Remington and Russell painting and sculpture. Interesting tower room with views to the mountains and costume materials for children. The addition of an auditorium and classroom space will enhance this special cultural center.

The museum is under construction for addition, so the space is limited right now. I did visit the permanent display about the history of the area and it was very informative.

Visited this exhibit honoring the day of the dead last year and again this year. Lots of fun, history, and art. Well worth the small admission fee. On the second floor is a genuine moon rock, and an expansive view of the Front Range is available on the third floor with panoramic windows. The museum has a new building being... More

For a "small town" that contrasts the more "hip" Boulder down the road, Longmont has an amazing little museum that brings in the likes of Ansel Adams, Frederic Remington and Charles Russell, Graffiti art and even Legos! There is a permanent exhibit of Longmont history on one side and changing shows exhibit in the main gallery. They sponsor all sorts... More

Day of the Dead, Splash Factory, Discovery Days, Lego Exhibit and Planes and Trains- the kids love it and I love that they want to go to a museum rather than watch TV!
