It has been awhile since we have attended this place. Our granddaughter loves to check out the water table, as well as the covered wagon and all the costumes and stuff for kids upstairs. We haven't been since they put on the new addition yet.

The Longmont Museum may be smaller than what you find in big cities but they have great exhibits that are fun for everyone. I've taken my grandchildren several times and always had to "drag" them away. They just completed a new 250 seat auditorium that is beautiful. I can't wait to go to a concert there.

I find something fundamentally disagreeable with paying 5 dollars for what my taxes pay for already. It has become more of a limited cultural display case rather than a museum. The special exhibits are not that special, and the standing ones are not that interesting 2nd time around. Bigger isn't necessarily better, the old museum made better use of space...this... More

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear you've been disappointed with the Museum. We'd welcome you to come back soon and check out everything we have go on this fall in our new auditorium -- from concerts to films to lectures. Our popular Robots Rising exhibit, in homage to and handmade by our many local robotics experts... More

We took our grand daughter and she had a blast. You are allowed to interact with the robots and even control a robot in a fighting arena. One of the best museum experiences I have ever had.

The permanent exhibit of Colorado settlers and history is interesting, and the rotating exhibits are always good too. There are hand-on activities for kids, and the summer programs for kids are excellent. The new auditorium and venue for meetings and receptions is beautiful.

We have been here several times and have learned so much about local history of this area. Our favorite exhibit is the Day of the Dead exhibits each year. They have a very small but nice gift shop.

This museum has an excellent permanent exhibit concerning both early Longmont, and the Front Range as it particularly relates to the indigenous Arapahoes and other Plains Indians. When the settlers moved in, and after they killed and "resettled" what was left of them (ie SandCreekMassacre) this area became dedicated to agriculture and wheat, and sugar beets were the main cash... I really wanted to find out about the history of the people and economy of the area. This place is filled with information from the first people. I had no idea that there were Paleo-Native Americans. The early traders like Bent really influenced the area. The Battle of Sand Creek affected the history of Longmont area. The problem was the... More

Hi there - We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed our permanent exhibit on the history of the region. Our apologies that you found the noise from our temporary hands-on exhibit, Robots Rising, to be a bit distracting. You're right that the kids do have a great time in there, but we're so sorry to hear that the noise... More

There are several hands-on exhibits and several robot toys on display that I remembered from my childhood. I took my grandchildren - it is a little beyond the 2-year old, but the 4-year old enjoyed it.
