With lots of hands on activities for the kids, and a nice space! I took my nephew (5) to the Planes, Trains, and Automobile exhibit and we both really enjoyed it. The outdoor splash exhibit was also great.

Best value for entertaining the kids. Change of exhibits frequently so you can go back again and again. Great activities for grandparents to take the kids. Las Dias de los Muertos, Doll exibit, Legos, dress up, space, history, great variety.

One of the better small museums I've seen. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area. We saw the permanent local history display. It covers the general area and not just Longmont which makes sense since Longmont was a major hub for the historic farming communities in the area many of which no longer exist. I thought... More

They always have a good outlook on the area. Some of their shows are as highly rated as some of the Denver Art Museums. Always worth the stop.

We visited the museum with our family during the Lego exhibit. There were dozens of Lego creations constructed by local artists. We thought our granddaughters would enjoy the exhibit, but it was really the adults that were fascinated. We look forward to the next exhibit.

This is a good place to take visitors, especially if younger kids/grandkids are part of the group. The collection of exhibits that would appeal to adults is interesting and manageable in terms of time needed to enjoy them, and the hands on Lego activity for children is both large and very entertaining.

I was impressed with the museum. This was my first time visiting and I came to see the special exhibit for the Day of the Dead. It was well done. We then looked at the rest of the museum and I found the permanent exhibit on the history of Colorado and Longmont informative and interesting. I learned a lot. I... More

Just not understanding why this place isn't named the St Vrain museum or Weld/Boulder/any other county museum. There isn't a whole lot just on Longmont. My family lived in the area since the 1800s and I've heard firsthand from generations about the rich and colorful history of this town. So my advice to the museum is to change its name... More

This fun little museum is nestled at the South East side of Longmont, right next to the Rec Center. Many exhibits are permanent and free of charge. The special, traveling, exhibits cost a few dollars. The permanent exhibits are spread out through the building and mostly cover American and local history. Definitely fun for all, and sort of hands-on. The... More
