Went for a day hike with my wife and 5 year old son. We went 3 miles total on a Sunday morning around 10:00 AM. The cost is $7.00 for all day pass. Trails are marked by elevation gain and difficulty so it's easy for you to pick what your able to do. Park Rangers were there as well to... More

Our kids are not great hikers. We try to get them to do a hike at least once a month but, it is always a challenge. However, they loved this place! We had been there many times before kids but, this was the first time taking them. They loved it as it a relatively easy hike but, never boring. There... More

This park is a nice escape from the Denver sprawl. The trails are relatively easy to walk and it is a good place to introduce out of town visitors to Colorado's altitude and atmosphere.

If you enjoy strange and huge rocks check this place out! There are easy, moderate and difficult hikes to view these magnificent sites. Bring plenty of water, snacks and comfortable walking shoes and enjoy your visit. If you have a current state park pass gets you in and if you do not is only $7 day park pass per vehicle.... More

Beautiful views of slanting red rocks. We saw 3 mule deer (2 fawns and a doe) the morning of our hike. There wasn't much shade at all on the trail we took, so make sure you adequate sun protection.

The views at Roxborough Park are absolutely stunning. If you don't hike you can sit on the comfy patio at the Visitors' Center and soak in the beauty. If you do hike, there is a nice variety of trails from very gentle to a little more challenging. Go early in the morning to see deer grazing in the meadows and... More

This park has the most beautiful views and rock formations! It is an easy hike for most people. My pictures turned out incredibly well. Great place to explore and get away from the crowds and trafic of Denver.

My wife and I wanted to try taking a walk in a new location. So we decided to try the Roxborough State Park. You do have to pay a day use fee, if you do not have a State Park Pass. We found a nice trail and enjoyed watching the deer graze and there was a nice cool breeze coming... More

We love going on family hikes to Roxborough State Park. It is part of the Colorado State Park system. The amazing red rocks are always photo-worthy and they have some short and long hiking trails. Love running into wildlife, too! Bring your camera!
