Nothing SPECTACULAR about the park, but it offers an "out of the way" feeling while being close to Denver. Pretty views of the city and foothills.

Unknown to us, we visited and walked yesterday. This state park has got to be one of the most eye catching for scenery. There is a wonderful view around every corner. DO NOT forget your camera and bring plenty of water

The park has a long chain of beautiful red rocks (and white too) surrounded by greenery. We went in summer but pics from fall look amazing! Entry fee was $7, I think. I had a bum knee, and we still did 3 hikes there. The staff at the center were very kind and helpful. Bathrooms inside (only 2 women's, ok... More

Watch out for poison ivy on the side of the trail. Entry fee is $7 per vehicle and park hours are 9 am to 9 pm in summer (visitor center... More

Wow is a word you hear a lot when you visit this state park famous for its red sandstone columns and pillars. Incredible vistas, diverse wildlife habitats and a very ingenious interpretive pavilion that utilizes one of the stone columns as its back wall.

Best day trip from Denver area. Interesting history about prehistoric people and animals. The area is red sandstone that reaches to the sky.

This is a park for people. I love it that there are no pets, horses or bicycles on the trails and it's just people in this beautiful place, Also enjoy the variety of trail offerings, all of the programs that are offered and the peace and quiet in the early and late parts of the day. The history of the... More

Brilliant place , quiet and tranquil but also a hint of danger as there is the potential to see many wild animals and birds, oh and rattle snakes too. The are several different routes to meet everybody's needs
