We did the Fountain Valley hike. Great hike and not too hard - I am really out of shape - but the views were awesome.

Nestled between spectacular rock formations in the Dakota Hogback, in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, this is a delightful place to visit. Besides the scenery, which makes for great photos especially in the early morning and late afternoon, one can enjoy seeing many kinds of wildlife in their natural settings.

This is a terrific hike, not too steep. It has places that are shaded and you catch some awesome views.

This State Park is amazing with its grandios rock formations, wildlife and trail system. Any time of year you will be completely excited by the beauty and variety of what this park has to offer. A nice visitors center has opportunity for learning and adding information, as well as shelter and a wonderful picnic area.

Do not enter the park unless you are into hiking, and if so there are miles of great trails thru the park, but it costs. We paid just before 4 in the afternoon and the visitor center closed before we could see it, guard never told us that, wasted entrance fee. Drove to the golf course/development behind the hog-back, told... More

Nice hiking trails, amazing views. You can watch for animals around, overlook Denver skyline or just walk around the park. I love going there!

Lots of beautiful trails. Very friendly people at visitors center and always gogeous views of the foothills and Denver skyline. In the fall we see elk and the rest of the year we see mule deer frequently. I cannot think of a better place for a hike. My husband at I like to hike up to the overlook with lunch.... More

Enjoyed a marvelous warm Saturday afternoon here at Roxborough, named for a region in Scotland by the original developer. The visitors' center was serviced by two excellent rangers who were pleased to set up the viewing of a most informative film on the ancient geology, anthropology, and early 1900's history. The theater is comfortable and provides a great way to... More
