It's really beautiful and the trails are really nice. JUST WATCH out for rattlesnakes! I almost stepped on one when we were walking back to the car! SCARY!! It's really an amazing place though!

A nice jaunt! I am new to Denver. Still getting used to the altitude and was looking for an easier hike to get outdoors and see more of the area. I would say I'm in moderate shape. This is a peaceful spot, although I did go on a weekday morning. It is $7 to get into the park, well worth... More

We had a brilliant visit to the park and a couple of great hikes. It's a fabulous attraction and place to visit but, as a visitor don't worry about comparing to GOTG. Just count yourselves lucky that you have two such great and diverse attractions. The lack of vehicles at Roxborough is a major plus and and it's just beautiful... More

We love hiking here! It's a beautiful park that is very convenient to town. We almost always see deer on our hikes.

Spent a week in the area and enjoyed every moment. Used the area as our base for a visit with friends. Serenity and drop dead gorgeous views all within hikes that very from easy to moderate. Flora and fauna abound at this gem of a park. Best experienced early or late as temps and sun can be harsh. Ranks far... More

Colorado State Park is the park that justifies the cliche 'It takes your breath away'. Gorgeous red rocks, varying elevations, animals here and there. Many hikes and activities, especially educational trips for school children here. The only drawback is the gravel road for two miles between the entrance and the Guest Center.

This is by far my favorite state park so far. I've only done the cabin trail, several times, but it's so beautiful and is a great easy hike. Excellent for photographing wildlife. I was told by a local that there are bears out here in the evenings. There are lots of snakes and other reptiles here. There are many rattlesnakes,... More

This park is truly a gem. There are people who have lived in Denver their whole life and have never been to this amazing spectacle. This park puts Garden of the Gods to shame. No tourist, no cars whizzing through. It's quiet and secluded. Very easy trails for elderly and children, but still an opportunity for great views. There's also... More

My wife and I stopped our for a few hours before a show at the Red Rocks, and it was well worth it! The windy trails opened up to some amazing views. The staff in the office was very friendly.
