“Wonderful bike path.”

The Carson Center has classes and hikes all year. The bike path, although very crowded on the weekends, is well-maintained and connects to other paths to allow someone to bicycle all the way from Chatfield Reservoir to Confluence Park in downtown Denver. In Chatfield State Park, you can see blue herons, hear meadowlarks, see coyotes and other wildlife. More

South Platte Park offers a variety of excellent opportunities for children to experience nature. Today, we hiked for 2 miles, stopping to climb on rocks, slide on frozen puddles and watch a bald eagle. The Park's nature center has live animals and a wonderful river table that allows children to experiment with river dynamics by building towns and flooding them.... More
