Interesting!

Go to the Silver Dollar saloon. Very cool. This is where Doc and Wyatt used to hang out. They will tell you some very interesting stories there :)

This little rail trip is around 2 hours. A fun little run through the scenery around Leadville. It roughly follows 91 towards the Climax mine. If you are a train aficionado, this is a must.

We enjoyed a pleasant 2 hours ride into the mountains to enjoy the fall foliage. Nice commentary by the conductor. Reasonable price $37, for a pleasant afternoon!

It was a slow ride which allowed for great photos. Learned about the area too. This is definitely a great attraction.

Highly recommend this trip. The scenery was excellent, as was the crew on the train. We rented the caboose and had it to ourselves. If you're a train buff this is a fun option.

We had just a fantastic time taking this very enjoyable trip on the Leadville Train. The Aspen's were at their peak color, the day was cool and crisp and the sky was beautiful. The trip takes about 2.5 hours and you can sit inside or ride outside in one of the open cars. We stayed outside much of the time... More

We went on the 2 o'clock trip on a Saturday. The train was great. We got some good information about the history of Leadville and the railway. It was a beautiful fall day. Unfortunately the fall peak had passed. It was chilly also. I would suggest anyone to take this trip.

This was a 2 1/2 hour ride, we were in a standard coach car, which had a horrible squeak the whole way there and back, like fingernails on a chalk board. Cindy was our Conductor on board and she was OK but very monotone. We did 5 other train rides and this one was at the bottom of our list... More

It was a very interesting and scenic ride through the mountains. Was able to ride most of the time in the open air car. The conductor was a real wealth of information.

We highly recommend the Leadville, Colorado and Southern Railroad tour for all ages. The train travels high in the mountains and affords beautiful and sweeping views of the valley below. The Aspens looked like Rivers of gold pouring of the mountains. The open air cars are best for viewing the environment, but the covered cars are very comfortable and have... More
