Stayed in a condo overlooking the man-made lake fed by the snake river which flowed right next to it. Nice center piece for the development with paddle boats, canoes and boards on it + ducks and geese; surrounded by rooms and restaurants and plenty of seats to just sit at with at least one having a gas fire for cold... The best place to ice skate is outdoors, on a lake high in the Colorado Rockies. The skating area on this lake is groomed with a zamboni machine, so it tends to be excellent. And there is plenty of elbow room. We get a big kick out of skating here. We bring our own skates, but you can also rent.... More

This is a great attraction for all ages. It a pretty big lake... You can just ice skate around, or get a group and play ice hockey. Young and not so young can have a blast here.

Spring starts to melt the ice- no more ice skating, no more Xmas tree or hockey rink- but let's face it, it's spring! This is a beautiful area and is equally enjoyable to view in the spring/summer. 4th of July would be perfect.

Biggest ice skating lake (5 miles), good prices for rentals and they offer sleds/wagons to pull kids around the rink on! You skate around a huge pine tree in the middle and the mountains are a spectacular view to see!

The views here are incredible! We loved the "walkers" they had - for kids AND adults who didn't really know how to skate. The music was awesome (best hits from the 90s??) and the skates are great (not your typical indoor rink variety). It was my kids first time on skates and they skated nearly 3 hours. Staff was friendly... More

Ice hockey and skating on the rink in the winter is so much fun. Restaurants surround the lake and you can sit inside or outside to enjoy the views.

the entire lake has is cleaned with a Zamboni so a fantastic surface. They have great skate rental program in the adventure area with hockey puck & stick rentals also available. They even have the little kid A frame setups to help the tiny kids be independent on their skates.

Getting to the lake to ice skate is not well marked and people in Keystone must not go there much. There is free parking across the street "USE IT" with a very cool tunnel over to the lake. Very beautiful at night! We must have picked the wrong night as there was a hockey game about to occur and the... More
