Family & young grandkids ice skated. They had walker like aids to help beginners gain confidence & not fall so much. Happy that C & C store is still open & had a great pizza, at Village Lake area.

We loved our afternoon here ice-skating. There was a beautiful Christmas tree in the middle and little sleds for our toddler. Also loved the amazing ice scuplture of Santa's sled - fabulous! Would have liked to see more eateries/bars surrounding the lake though.
Went to the Keystone Lake for New Years Eve Fireworks. It was an awesome event and one not to be missed if possible. We stood on the frozen lake near the Christmas tree.
The lake during the day in winter months is a huge ice skating rink.
There are several restaurants around the perimeter of the lake.

This is the largest groomed outdoor skating area in North America. It's wonderful for skating and hockey.
The view is spectacular whether in summer or winter. We stay in the Willows condos right on the lake. Great place to use as a base for your trip to this part of Colorado.....Frisco, Breckenridge, Vail, Copper , Mt. Evans, Idaho Springs and Silverthorne plus Georgetown and Casinos all within an hours drive.
Keystone lake is away from the hectic River Run area at Keystone. This has its pros and cons. Pros: fewer crowds. Cons: poor selection of restaurants and shopping. Although the Big Horn steakhouse is at Keystone lake and is excellent.

Little grandsons loved the paddleboats and kayaks and feeding the fish and ducks. Beautiful flowers and great mountain view, and right next to Keystone Lodge.
Great place to have fun feeding the ducks and HUGE fish. The paddleboats require a little work but fun for everyone. Also, the local fishing store along the lake offers fly fishing clinics to help teach new fishermen.
There are several activities around the lake including boat rides. Our 4-year-old had a great time feeding the fish and ducks. The activities center rents bikes for rides on the nearby paved trail along the Snake River. There were two restaurants next to the lake. There were several empty shops that appear to have closed because of a lake of...
