Fun place to stop....

Cruising along from Moffat to Alamosa, we knew to be looking for this UFO watchtower. It was easy to spot so we stopped to check it out. It was an interesting fun place to stop.

We'd been reading about this place for a while, and it did not disappoint. We decided to camp on the grounds for the full experience. When we pulled in we got to hear a full history of the Watchtower and about the garden below the tower. What fun! The campsite was great, and we had fun watching the stars and... More

Step aside Roswell its the San Luis Valley that boasts the most UFO sightings. On you pilgrimage across the Cosmic Highway (HWY 17) make sure you stop by the UFO watchtower to feel the vortexes, leave behind an offering and chat it up Judy. Well worth the suggested $2 donation because you'll be talking about your experience for weeks to... More

A great little stop if you happen to be on 17 in San Luis Valley of Colorado. Lots of neat info inside the building with Alien themed kitsch for sale. You must walk through the vortex garden and see all the artifacts left by fellow travelers. Bring something to leave if you can. The owner is wonderful to talk to... More

Located on a lonesome stretch of the San Luis Valley, the UFO Watchtower is situated in the middle of one of the most active UFO-sighting areas on the planet. Plan to spend plenty of time talking with Judy, the proprietor, who will regale you with local UFO lore and stories about her personal meetings with aliens. The shop is full... More

I have been there twice! Its a great spot to get out wander around in the garden and view the beautiful mountains. The lady is very knowledgeable. There is a lot of weird stuff that goes on in this valley. My husband is from Antonito Colorado he has first hand experience of some weird stuff in this valley, mostly orbs... More

Off the road you come upon this tower with little UFO's and different fixtures placed throughout the area. Women running this place firmly believes she has seen UFO's in the valley. Interesting place, and a quick stop.

Took my sister from NYC just so she could get the quirky gift shop souvenirs to take home. Yes it is basically a six foot high additional "tower" so you get an even BETTER look at all those UFOs whizzing by. It really is a great location for star gazing, just like the whole San Luis Valley. But go anyway.... More

We were on our way out of the valley driving down Hwy 61. I was on the look out for this, thinking it was an actual tower. If it looked promising, I was going to talk Scott into stopping. We did slow the car, since there was no one behind us. It looks like a typical tourist trap & a... More
