Took my sister from NYC just so she could get the quirky gift shop souvenirs to take home. Yes it is basically a six foot high additional "tower" so you get an even BETTER look at all those UFOs whizzing by. It really is a great location for star gazing, just like the whole San Luis Valley. But go anyway.... More

We were on our way out of the valley driving down Hwy 61. I was on the look out for this, thinking it was an actual tower. If it looked promising, I was going to talk Scott into stopping. We did slow the car, since there was no one behind us. It looks like a typical tourist trap & a... More

We visited just to check it off the Colorado Must See List! The owner is one of a kind! She is sweet, is accepting of all even if you dont believe what she believes in and is just happy your there! It is $2 a person and $5 per car. She has chairs to sit in a relax not only... More

Ok- it looks weird from the road and you don't know what kind of freak you're going to meet thats running it as you drive up a dirt road and see alien sculptures - and a small half circle building with a deck on the top- really? I was skeptical. But when the truck pulled up behind us and it... More

We like the offbeat stop, and this one takes the cake. About the same as our last stop here many years ago, but not open this time (bummer!). Cost is $2 per person or $5 per car- pay in the box if they're not open. We did take the opportunity of no one else there to snap some aerial views... More

While in Alamosa we decided to get off the beaten path, so I printed out a list of odd attractions to see in Colorado. We pulled in to this watchtower and had to laugh. There was no one to take our money but my husband left it in the box anyway. The shop was closed so we just walked around... More

We went out here on the way to another near by attraction. The lady who runs it is very nice and has a lot of information to share. We walked around the vortex areas and we swear you could feel it. My husband is skeptical and he felt something. Than we walked around the out fields. It was interesting to... More

We just weren't satisfied enough by stopping at the meteor crater in Arizona, especially since that was like throwing $15 into the crater just to walk to the edge. So we made sure to stop at the Watchtower, and what fun THAT was. It's more like a spread out shrine to UFOs where visitors can linger awhile, leave bits and... More

My sister and I drove up to the watchtower which appeared to be closed. However, before we could park, the owner drove us and warmly greeted us. We had a really pleasant visit with Judy and she explained the garden and opened up the small shop. She allowed us to stay as long as we wanted to enjoy the sunset... More

We decided to stop here since we had driven by it on previous trips and wondered about it. We were the only ones there, and the woman who runs it was very friendly and informative. She put a lot of time and energy into opening and running the site. I don't really believe in aliens or UFOs, but it was... More
