By the end of the last century, Mr. Francisco Kelly , an Argentine citizen of irish descendance named his land Santa Susana as a homage to his wife, Susana Caffrey.

The ranch is located in the district of Campana , Buenos Aires province, and near the town of Los Cardales.

It actually occupies an area of 1200 Hectares (2965 acres) mainly dedicated to agricultural activities, and ,since around 24 years ago, it has also been exploites as a tourism resort, either at national or at international levels. We receive visitors Tuesday through Sunday every day of the year.

Save your money! This is not worth it at all! On the 90 minute drive through many of the slums of Buenos Aires, our guide told us about this Estancia. She advised food was abundant, just ask for more of whatever you like. It is true, upon arrival we were offered empanadas. After that you are essentially on your own... More

We really enjoyed the day at Estancia Santa Susana with Tangol Tours and their personable guide. Being met on arrival with empanadas and wine was a lovely start. Visitors can wander around the museum to get an idea of estancia life in times gone by, go for a ride on the horse drawn carriage or go horse riding. A traditional... More

Sure it's touristy, but I AM a tourist. Food was excellent and abundant. Loved riding the horses. Gaucho show was fun to watch and cheesey, but it was all in good fun. I wasn't much for the singing, dancing, tango, etc., so I wandered outside (weather was EXCELLENT) and took photos. Really lovely "alone" time and with the music in... More

I visited here because my guide, Carina Lago, recommended this place. Unfortunately the day we went here it rained very hard and there was some flooding. We were still able to do a wagon ride but the outside horse show was cancelled because it was too muddy. From the empanada's at the beginning to the dessert at the end, the... More

We just loved the ambience of this place which comes solely from the gauchos, our tour guide and your determination to have a good time and go with the flow. I would liked to have stayed longer. Met by the gauchos off the bus with empanadas in hand and a cool cup of wine we knew we were in for... More

It was a cold wintery morning in BA, and nothing was more welcoming than the warm embers of the BBQ started early that morning, slow cooking for our lunch. The welcome glass of wine and perfectly done deliciously cooked empanada helped too. Yes they cater to tourists, photo opps, a token wagon and horse ride etc. However the food was... More

Have just returned from here having had a most enjoyable time. Situated about 90 km outside Buenos Aires, the trip was quite uneventful, the land is flat and the areas look like any poorer country. We were very fortunate in having a good and enthusiastic tour guide who explained many things about the history about the Gaucho's life and the... More

As far as selecting a gaucho experience, Santa Susana is one of the better options. However, the authentic gaucho experience has turned into a tourist attraction. After a long bus ride to the ranch, we went on a 15 minute horseback ride (more like a stroll) followed by a heavy BBQ lunch. Then they put on a show with some... More

Absolutely loved it! Fantastic day trip from Buenos Aires. We were picked up at the hotel and driven to the ranch. The gauchos were there to greet us. We were offered empanadas and wine or soft drinks immediately. We took a tour of the ranch house with our guide Antonella who was excellent. There was horseback riding or carriage rides... More

The ranch was nice. Food was ok. Horseback riding was boring bec you can't ride out on your own. So everyone will wait and follow the leader around an area really slow. The show after lunch was not bad. The gaucho show after was ok.
