A gem in the Grand Valley, the Science & Math center provides interesting and engaging learning opportunities for young children. Summer sessions include week long creative and inventive classes. A future community supported expansion will open the center to more exposure for students of all ages. My grandkids (ages 7 and 5) attend New Emerson Elementary and benefit each day... More

Dear cindyLoeb, Thank you for your amazing review. We are delighted to hear that your grandchildren benefit from the Center while attending New Emerson. Our summer camps are great opportunities and we do continue programs throughout the school year as well. Every Friday we have an afternoon camp where we do science experiments touching on a variety of subjects. Perhaps... More

Of all the summer camps that my children attend, science camps are their favorites! Not only are they fun but also educational! As a scientist myself, I really appreciate all the quality education, problem solving, experimentation opportunities that they provide for our children and youth!

My great grandson went to Science Camp this summer. He had a great time. He was never ready to come home when I went to pick him up. The fact that he could just wander around and look at all the displays, try some of the experments, and touch a snake was wonderful in his eyes. It is a grand... More

Great docents, TONS of hands on activities for super young learners, all the way through older teens. Bugs, reptiles, and turtles are on site, as well as loads of physics, electricity, and principles of mechanical engineering exhibits and experiments that kids of all ages can do. They also have a 3D printer. Everyone is really friendly and it's well-staffed. Definitely... More

I regularly take my 5 year old granddaughter here for Saturday Science hour. The staff has a creative activity planned around a theme - Halloween, color mixing & painting, meeting wolf-dog hybrids, etc. After that children can explore the Math and Science Center. There is so much to do that I have trouble getting her to leave. At her age,... More

Our kindergartner looked forward to her Science Fridays! I was allowed to sit in and take notes which helped us discuss [intelligently] what she learned that day. This should be a required visit for every family with kids! Short time or all day.
