My great grandson went to Science Camp this summer. He had a great time. He was never ready to come home when I went to pick him up. The fact that he could just wander around and look at all the displays, try some of the experments, and touch a snake was wonderful in his eyes. It is a grand... More

Great docents, TONS of hands on activities for super young learners, all the way through older teens. Bugs, reptiles, and turtles are on site, as well as loads of physics, electricity, and principles of mechanical engineering exhibits and experiments that kids of all ages can do. They also have a 3D printer. Everyone is really friendly and it's well-staffed. Definitely... More

I regularly take my 5 year old granddaughter here for Saturday Science hour. The staff has a creative activity planned around a theme - Halloween, color mixing & painting, meeting wolf-dog hybrids, etc. After that children can explore the Math and Science Center. There is so much to do that I have trouble getting her to leave. At her age,... More

Our kindergartner looked forward to her Science Fridays! I was allowed to sit in and take notes which helped us discuss [intelligently] what she learned that day. This should be a required visit for every family with kids! Short time or all day.

We were in Grand Junction for a little family weekend getaway and wanted to bring the kids here because they both really like science. There were so many cool experiments they could do so many fun little learning stations! Plus, where else can you take an entire family for $12? So worth it!

Just walking through the door and gazing around the room it is hard to decide where to go first. We were amazed at the great number of different Hands On activities and experiences that were available. Each space and activity has an explanation of what to do and then is related to the Science or Math application it represents. Even... More

I enrolled my 9 year old son into a "camp" type class at this place and I love it! He came home with all kinds of knowledge about plants, animals, computers, weather, and much more. I was intrigued by the few stations that I saw just dropping him off and picking him up from his day at camp. I would... More

We loved our second visit to the John McConnell Math and Science center. We were there at a non-busy time, so we had some real personal times with one of the teachers there. He was wonderful. We loved the new experiments that they had, and the old ones that our kids had seen previously. Visit the Math and Science center,... More
