Constantly changing exhibitions. Lots of special events with live demos. Every first Friday of the month a new exhibit with free hors d'oeuvres and cheap wine and beer.

I visited the Art Center for the first time in October--what a discovery! "This Is Your Country" was a very compelling, well curated exhibit that offered a fresh view of our arid western landscape and the impact of water scarcity in our region. The other exhibits, including the Brush and Palette Exhibit, were also excellent. I will definitely make this... More

The Art Center has year-round art camps for kids during the summer, Christmas break and spring break. The kids learn to do clay work, pastels, portraits and a variety of crafts.

This is a jewel in Western Colorado's crown with an amazing display of local and regional talent. The exhibits change frequently, the first Friday of the month they have a grand opening reception that is always festive and fun. They also offer a wide variety of classes for children and adults. The children's director, Rachel, is a very gifted and... More

Staff member or Volunteer was correct in saying that no exhibits are up the day of the Annual Art Auction. Only the contributed art for the Auction. It is always a madhouse.....the day of the Auction....getting things ready by five o'clock for the opening of the affair and that's why the Center is closed all day so everyone can get... More

We travelled from Denver and wanted to revisit this museum. Our remembrance was of great art in a very nice environment. Unfortunately, their annual auction was to be held that evening. We were told very perfunctorily that there were no exhibits available for viewing. We can't believe that they removed art from the walls... Very disappointed that a museum open... More

We went on a Tuesday - which was good since if we would have paid to get in, I would have been upset. Our group ranged from mid-50's to 9 and all were glad to leave. Most of it looked liked high school art projects.

We went to the center on a recent trip to Grand Junction. What a little treasure! It's a well kept secret in town, and well worth the visit. The center staff are very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the art or artists. Well worth the trip, and a great deal for $3... More
