I've been skiing "the Horn" every season for over a decade and I don't see stopping anytime soon. Living in Grand Junction, Powderhorn is a mere 45 minute drive from town making it great if you only have a half day available. After many years of skiing there here are some observations. Just finished the Daily Sentinel 3 day ski lessons for newbies. At the end you've got your season's lift pass. Can do three consecutive days or 3 weekends beginning in early January. Did January 2, 3 & 4 and was quite tired and sore at the end but found they took time to help individually as needed. In fact, I... more
