Took my son downhilling for the first time in his life. He loved it (although he did some over the handlebar wipe outs). The price is a little high, but we also rented bikes with kits and lift tickets and insurance. It was worth it to me, but if you have your own gear, lift tickets are super reasonable. The... More

Our family is new to skiing, so didn't see the point in spending a fortune on lift tickets. My 10 year old did full day lesson and had a great time. The lesson had easy check in, great lunch, seemed very organized, and I like what they taught her. We picked her up at 3:00 and she skied the bunny... More

We have been going to Granby Ranch to ski for a few years now. GR is small, but it is great for young families wanting to give their kids a fun skiing experience. The resort caters to families with lots of activities on the weekends at the end of the ski day like movies, hot chocolate, tubing and night skiing.... More

We visited Granby Ranch March 23-25th and had a great experience. Our 7 year old daughter was ready for snowboarding lessons; my husband and I are not skiers or snowboarders. We booked her in five hours of private lessons the first two days and then the half day group lesson on our third day there. Yarid was her private instructor... More

My family and I had a fabulous time here. It was our first time to ski so we enrolled in the group 2 hour lessons. They offer 4 hour ones but we were exhausted before the 2 hours were up. This is a great smaller resort for families and new skiers. Highly recommend Granby!

This is a great mountain for a family. All of the lifts meet at one base around, which makes it easy to keep track of your group/family.

Granby Ranch is a 4 season place to get away from all life's stresses. In winter it's a small ski area, made for families and anyone else wanting to get away from crowded, expensive ski areas. GR is a smaller area but for 3-4 days of skiing it's just the right size! All the lifts let you take runs that... More

My husband and I had never been on skis and we picked the perfect place. The trails and lifts were easy enough to master within the first few days and the staff was amazing! Stay away from the upstairs "quick eats" during lunch time. It is extremely overpriced. Bring your own food and beverages!!

Our family has been going to Granby Ranch for 7 years and we have always had a great experience. However, our last trip over spring break (3/17-3/21) was unfriendly and lacking in professionalism is several areas. First, we checked our daughter into ski school at the recommended early time of 8 am for a full day and she wasn't on... More

The price compared to big hills in the area is great. We spent a day here and it was the perfect warmup for one of the less advanced skiers in our group (first time skiing in CO for them). Plenty of room for your stuff, to eat and use the facilities. I'd suggest bringing your own food, the cafeteria food... More
