As always, a great location, great beer, and the atmosphere is awesome. This year there was a neat BBQ tent set up outside of the brewery, and my husband enjoyed a great sandwich. Only downer was that many of the GCB beers were out of stock, but they offered nice guest beers. Hoping next time we are able to enjoy... More

My husband has been home-brewing for over a decade now, so we've tasted (and sometimes tried to duplicate) many microbrews. While in Golden we stopped and tried their sampler. I generally like stouts, so was not surprised to like theirs. Also thought the IPA was very good. But the Mad Molly Brown Ale was the best brown ale I've ever... More

Was recommended here by a local on the flight into Denver. It's literally a house that someone decided to turn into a brewery and beer garden. It's about 2 blocks west of downtown Golden and you are allowed to bring in your own food to hang out in the beer garden. The beers are all made on site about 10... More

We visited GCB on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the fall and the beer garden was packed! We opted for a sampler (which was really budget-friendly considering the size of the pours!) and enjoyed the beer. Hearing about the history of the brewery was really cool too. The tasting room has a divey (in the most endearing way!) atmosphere that... More

Golden City Brewery had a wonderful atmosphere to hang out and relax. The beautiful views of lookout mountain and the historic district made for a wonderful day. Matt, the manager, was very helpful and friendly. I've been here before and it's great during all seasons, a fire for the fall and shade for the summer. Golden Natural Foods is right... More

We visit CO every fall. We came to Golden last time, so we weren't going to visit this time and then last minute we decided to. I was so excited to see we made it for ChiliFest 2013! This brewery is very small and has the coolest beer garden. The beer is excellent. Golden is a beautiful town and this... More

We went for happy hour on a Thursday early fall and the place was packed. Lots of Mines students, but some older folks as well. We had the berry IPA and it was great, and a pitcher to share was cheap! You walk up and pay at the window and then can sit anywhere in the "yard" that you'd like.... More

Swung by GCB last week for some local brew. Small seating area to sample some tasty brews. Placed in a residential neighborhood was a bit hard to find. Ordered some food from down the street (good, and fast service). Good beer, friendly patrons and staff.

Stopped by for a few beers after works, the outdoor tables were packed with smiling faces. I tried the Lookout Stout and the Mad Molly's, both were great. Don't come looking for food, just great beer, which is cool with me.

Fun little brewery in a house in historic Golden area. Pet friendly patio. Shared a picnic table with another couple. Great craft beers. You've got to try their beer cookies.
