Lovely changing exhibits, currently Ansel Adams' photos are featured, along with the photos of mountaineering museum founder, Bradford Washington, and one other photographer whom I have forgotten. Good photos, entrance fee a little expensive for 2 small rooms and a video, still worth while. The gift shop features a few local artists, and is quite nice.

I agree with other reviews, a little expensive for two rooms ,but his art is very good! Could do without the two volunteers talking so much and so loud, Golden has changed so much but still alot of free parking thanks!

I would rate it a bit higher if the entry fee was more reasonable. For senior citizens it was $10 for just a few rooms of exhibit. I loved the old building it's in, but I felt gouged by the admission. I loved the stone waterfall column out front, a raven was bathing at the top and splashing all the... More

We went specifically to view the Ansel Adams photo exhibit and it was good, but not sure I'd pay $12.50 again except to teach my teenager about Adams. There are actually 3 photographers exhibited & Adams' pics represent roughly 50 photos, but they have several of his most famous prints, made by Adams himself, incl Moonrise over Hernandez. Very unique... More

The artists featured were nature photographers and the photos were all very similar. Usually you can find something in the gift shop, but everything was expensive.

The Foothills Art Center is beautiful and the Ansel Adams exhibit was really nice to view. There was an interesting documentary about Ansel Adams that was very interesting - we highly recommend!

Great exhibit. I wouldn't go to Golden just for this, but it was certainly worth the stop. Many iconic Adams photos to see. And a lovely building for the Art Center.

This is a smaller gallery space in a repurposed church that provides a nice backdrop for the exhibits. They've had excellent shows over the last couple of years in a variety of media (paintings, photos, glass, and books as art to name a few.) The annual watercolor show is a standout, and the current Ansel Adams exhibit that includes work... More

They have many small rooms filled with local artisan works for purchase. In the summer they have workshops for kids.
