A glimpse of local history

Not for everyone but my wife and I enjoyed walking the grounds and reading the clippings on the wall while touring the house. Not much else to do but we enjoyed it.

This building is open for tours. It's a historical building that has been partially restored and partially renovated. It's use now is as a meeting center/wedding venue. There is no admission charge to walk through it but donations are solicited. This building is owned by the county Jefferson and is staffed by persons running the conference center. They do provide... What an absolutely gorgeous house and view! We stopped into the Boettcher Mansion on our way to lookout mountain and we definitely do not regret it! We did a short tour of the grounds and mansion and learned a little bit about the history. Overall it was a great place for a beautiful historical pit stop. Unfortunately the nature center... More

After touring the Buffaloe Bill Museum up on Lookout Mountain in Denver, found this gem! Initially, i thought it was a guided tour type historic home, but it is actually an event center where weddings and business parties are thrown. I was allowed to go through the house, on my own, and read the history of the house and it's... More

This is a wedding and event venue that I would choose in a second! Just a pleasant place to be...situated on top of Lookout Mountain in the pines....nature trails with great views. Would be a fabulous place for ANY kind of event/party.

The whole story of this man is very interesting, but the house is not that spectacular. It would probably be a great place for a wedding or family reunion or something like that. You are afforded some cool views from being on top the mountian, I can only imagine what an escape it would have been back in the day.

I have been up to the mansion 4 times and all the times I have only been able to look inside through the windows. I would really like to see the inside but they do a lot of fun stuff for kids around Halloween and other holidays so it is fun for younger kids.

Fascinating that a man would come to Manitou, bring his aristocratic mother, build a mansion and leave!

We came here on our hunt for a wedding venue. It was soo beautiful that we were set on having it here until we started searching a little more and realized we could do a lot more with the cost. The only real downside besides the expense was that you would have to use their DJ because of a tower... More

We visited in March, snow on the ground, we took a short walk through the mansion, the building was interesting but not too much to see....
