Pretty drive

Great views of Golden and the once fruited plains now Denver skyline. Watch out for skateboarders in the road.

If you like views and enjoy the drive then take a moment to check it out from Lookout Mountain. There is nothing better then taking a deep breathe and listening to the natural sounds around you while enjoying a breath taking view.

If you have some time to spare take this drive to see wonderful views of the Colorado foothills! Stop and visit Buffalo Bills grave while you are at it.

My wife and I moved to Lookout Mountain in 2004, and it is the best place we have ever lived. The views are fantastic from so many places, and the Nature Center, Boettcher Mansion and Buffalo Bill's Museum and grave are not to be missed. Start in Golden on 19th Street and just keep going up! Or get there off... More

We drove up from I70 and then down into Golden. Gorgeous views on the way down. There is a nature center at the top. There are also really nice trails and picnic areas.

Went here and it was beautiful on the drive up. Was disappointed/happy that it was snowing once we got to the top of the mountain. The snow was beautiful, but you couldn't see anything! Can't wait to go back!

Being from Florida, we do not have many opportunities to hike up mountains except when we vacation. We started from the base and treked the entire mountain. I would rate the trail as moderate but one must have the endurance to go the miles from bottom to top and to return. We did not experience any issues going either up... More
