Great view of the mountains and valley. Good 'trial run' for a drive up Pike's Peak - will get you used to sharp turns. With it being summer there were a lot of bicyclists who seemed to think that 'sharing the road' meant taking their portion out of the middle - and in the middle of turns. If you prepare... More

This is between Denver on the way to Breckenridge, CO. It was a beautiful drive up and around the mountain. When you reach the top there is a house museum and beautiful views and gardens.

Awesome view of Golden, and on a good day, you can see Denver. Lots of deer roaming the sides of the road, and even more bicycles, so be careful driving.

One can take exit 256 on I-70 and take this drive to lookout mountain and exit in Golden city or vice versa. Drive is beautiful and there are at least 4 good points on the road to look out into mountains and the beautiful city of Golden. Be watchful as there are many deer in this area and you won't... Lookout Mountain has great views all around. Not too far from the city. The little shop at the top is cute, very large in terms of trinkets and clothing but small when it comes to food.

Gorgeous views! Bring some water and go see Buffalo Bill's grave. Did you know he was an early supporter of wage equality?

We enjoyed this trip very much. The day was beautiful and we could see views for miles. We went and saw the Buffalo Bill's grave but did NOT pay to go into museum. We still had a wonderful hike and got some amazing photos.

The windy road going up is fun, but you need to watch out for bicycles coming down. The gift shop & snack bar at the top is a pleasant reward. Coming down the back side is much more sedate. The view of Golden and Denver is spectacular. Buffalo Bill Cody's grave is also at the summit. We didn't visit the... More
