Considering the incredible views once you get up to Lookout Mountain the drive up wasn't bad at all. The only thing to be aware of are the bicyclists. They are everywhere and not necessarily sharing the road as the signs suggest:) You could clearly see downtown Denver!! We also toured the museum. A simple museum that was worth the five... More

Nothing to dislike here. Mother Cabrini's Shrine, Buffalo Bills grave. Beautiful homes and the views are spectacular

We've been several times in the past & know it to be fabulous. This time we went early morning, & think the view is better later in the day with the sun behind you. Also, it was very hazy (bad brown cloud/ozoneday?) so just want visitors to keep that in mind.

On a recent trip to the Denver Metro area we came up with some extra time before we had to catch our plane. We decided to drive up Lookout Mountain. We went up the south side and back down the northeast-ish way back to the City. This was a very scenic drive, not so very far from downtown Denver. It... More

This was the favorite part of our Golden experience. We got to the top after many switchbacks in the road and got to get out and walk around and checkout the views from both sides. Could see Denver on one side and the Continental divide on the other, was so amazing!

We recently visited lookout mountain while in Colorado so our indiana kids could experience some mountain views. Lookout mountain did not disappoint! We did not go thru the museum but we did tour the grave site, the little store and we took in the view from all viewing areas. Beware of the hundreds of cyclists who are trekking up and... More

I had some time available during a business trip so I drove up to catch in the sights. Breathtaking. It's almost numbing how beautiful it is. I was there during a very quiet time so I had the whole area to myself. Seeing the cyclists is so humbling. Not much to do otherwise, but worth the drive.

If you only have a few hours to get away from the city, this is a good choice. The trip up the mountain from Golden will give you a feeling of being in the mountains and provides a panoramic view of the front range as well. At the top you can visit the Boettcher Mansion and get a feel for... More

went there during a photography workshop and it rained. . .can't help the weather. What I did see will bring me back. Nice hiking trails, a nice "visitor" center with lots to see, and lots of informational brochures. I will be back
