Great place to see the Denver valley. Grave is, well, a grave, albeit of one of the biggest names in the American West. Actually skipped the museum and did the gift shop and cafe. Had a buffalo burger that was good. Feel like it was worth the trip.

The best part of this side trip was the wonderful drive up from golden on the winding road with good views over the surrounding countryside. When you get there, the usual large car park, a mammoth cabin full of tourist trap nick knacks plus a cafeteria, and then a short walk up to the grave with its ironwork surround and... More

If you are traveling on I70 west out of Denver and have an extra 1/2 hour take exit 256 and visit Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum. It is on top of Look Out Mountain and has fabulous views of Denver, Table Top Mesa and mountains to the north. The view alone is worth the side trip. There is a little... More

After living in the area for about 2 years I finally made my way to the Buffalo Bill Museum with my summer camp group of K - grade 5 kids. I had always pictured a kind of run down museum that had a few artifacts that might be interesting. I was so pleasantly surprised when we got there! They are... More

It really was a nice stop along our meandering day and I would absolutely recommend making the side trip. From the road, it seems like it may be a short drive, but then you get off the highway and discover it's a little further than you thought. The view was tremendous and the history of buffalo Bill was interesting. The... More

Visited the Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum on my visit to Colorado. It was very interesting to see the site where William Cody and his wife are buried. The view from the location was spectacular and I was able to take a lot of photos of the beautiful mountains. There is also a gift shop where one can buy a... More

The museum is nice. Snow but filled with great artifacts. The kids thought it was cool. Every year living history folks have annual history reenactments that are fun to experience. You get to meet Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley, and see the Calvary shoot canons. It is just the TV towers that loom over everything really detract from the views;... More

For four dollars, worth the time and money for the chronological tour of the life of Buffalo Bill Cody. There's lots of memorabilia and his grave site is next door in a setting overlooking Denver. This is an under the covers look at a life that included struggles and triumphs of a man that helped grow the West…………and his legend.
