Stopped off here because I was close. Nothing planned. Well worth the stop. Breathtaking views, a little history, nice little visitors store and quick bite to eat. Take the trip up the mountain just 10 min from Coors factory.

This makes 5 times I've stopped in while in the area. It's worth a stop just for the views all around without even going in to the Museum or Shop ! But if your there why not , it's worth the small entrance fee and the gift shop is free if you don't buy anything ? Both are worth the... More

Buffalo Bill's grave sits up on Lookout Mountain Road in Golden, Colorado. The views are spectacular! The little museum is full of information, artwork and artifacts. Worth the modest entrance fee. Don't miss the 15 minute movie. You can bring a picnic lunch and eat at one of the picnic tables, or enjoy the cafe.

The drive to this place was amazing and the scenery is breathtaking on that mountaintop. The museum was filled with memorabilia, information and videos. I knew about Buffalo Bill, but I learned so much more about him and was surprised about what I didn't know. Definitely worth it.

Views are wonderful. It will only take you an hour or two to see all of this museum and the surrounding grounds. It is worth taking the time to stop here even if you are just passing through.

We took a side trip going from Denver to Vail and it was well worth the stop. An hour or so does it and the story of Buffalo Bill and his times is fascinating. It is well stocked with authentic exhibits donated by his contemporaries who had well deserved respect for William “Buffalo Bill” Cody. Closed on Mondays. Admission $5.00... More

My youngest daughter thought Buffalo Bill and the Wild West show was just a story tale until we actually brought them up to the museum. It's up on Lookout Mountain overlooking Golden Colorado and it's breathtaking just from the parking lot. We walked up to BB's grave site which hasn't changed since I was a teenager so it was like... Drive up the mountain side might have you concerned with lots of switchbacks and sharing the road with bikers and runners. I find the museum interesting but would not rate it excellent. View of Golden, Denver and the Plains are worth the drive up and down. Gift shop of course as well as a small restaurant. Parking is easy and... More

Took a drive up here in Dec when we were going to check out Golden. Fairly small museum and I think it was $5 to get in. There is a 10-15 minute video that plays periodically in a small theater and I'd recommend seeing that before going through the museum. Lots of interesting memorabilia to see and documents to see.... Like some other folks have noted, we took a little car ride just to acclimate to the elevation and ended up here almost by accident. Unfortunately it was late and the museum was closing but we did get to see the grave site and go through the shop and café. The shop carried a lot of tourist type stuff but... More
