We've been there first by car, took the tour through the museum, after that we drove the road down to Golden and discovered a hiking trail up to the BB Grave. We went this awesome hike (3 miles up the mountain). The museum shows a lot of things about Buffalo Bill but the view down to Denver is gorgeous!!! more
I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. An informative video and lots of interesting displays plus the grave site with a view! Nice little gift shop/cafe!. Very inexpensive. Fun drive up Lookout mountain too! more
The main attraction here are the views of Golden and looking out to Denver. It's quite special. It's also quite a twisting ride up (and lot's of bikers getting thier exercise). The gravesite itself is just that - a marker with plaques to Buffalo Bill. I didn't go into the musuem. There is an extensive gift shop and snack bar.... more
If you come up here, go down 6th Ave into Golden and take a left at 19th St. (if you go right you will go into downtown Golden where the Coors Brewery is) .
