My daughter, Addy, and I enjoyed going to this site the same day we went to see Lookout Mountain (and the nature center). The day we went there were lots of activities, the museum was free and they had "Wild Bill" and "Annie Oakley" doing a show. Canons were going off every few hours because a civil war re-enactment group... More

The trip up the mountain was fun. I found the tour and museum informative. The gravesite was neat to see as well. I would stop here agin. Good place for photo as well

I'm a huge Annie Oakley Enthusiast, so I was hoping there would be some info on her as well. The museum itself was great. Lots of info on Buffalo Bills Life and everyone he came in contact with. A lot of less well known info too. After we visited the museum we ate at the restaurant which had fantastic food.... More

If you are in to this sort of thing, I recommend going to the top of Lookout Mountain. Just watch for the Bicycles and Deer. Buffalo Bill is actually buried up here. The view of Golden is great, and you can even see Denver.

This is not a tourist trap!!The grave of Bill has been on look out mountain for over 90 years. The museum is excellent along with a great view of the plains where you can see 4 states. The gift shop is retro and has a great selection of items...the gift shop also has a dining room that features Buffalo burgers. The... More

After a yummy breakfast in downtown Golden we headed up the Mtn. The gps took us only a few miles but nearly 40 minutes due to the switchbacks. There's a better route we found down so do your route homework. The switchback roads were filled with bicyclists going up and skate boarders going down. But the views were stunning. The... More

We went to Golden for the primary purpose of visiting the Colorado School of Mining Geology museum, Wen we were done with the museum, we had time leftover and decided to check out lookout mountain while we were there. Up at the top we came across the museum and grave site, and thought we would just take in the view... More

We went to Golden with the intent of doing the Coors Tour, but we found that it had an hour wait. We decided to abandon this plan and wandered up lookout mountain. What a treat! Great views all around! The museum was okay and only took about 30 minutes to go through but it was only $5 so it was... More

A nice little museum with a lot of good information. I was a little surprised that they offered no student discount. The fee for an adult is $5, which isn't bad. Small museum that is very informative.

This is not the most easy place to find. It is up a Large hill and you have to drive ALL the way to the top for a spectular view on the Mountain top of Golden Colorado. The Museum is well done with great items on display and history on Buffalo Bill Cody very interesting man and the life he... More
