The drive up the mountain was well worth it! The museum has the finest collection of memorabilia from the Buffalo Bill era. People working there are very friendly. Views from the area are breathtaking. A MUST see.

Wife and I visited here as part of a 4 State, 2,700 road trip. We visited Cody, WY, the town created by Buffalo Bill Cody. We were told that to this day there are questions if he is really buried in Colorado. The museum talks about this. Visit both and decide for yourself.

After visiting the disappointing "Ghost Town Museum" in Colorado Springs, my wife and I went up to Golden and stopped at this place. The view from atop Lookout Mountain is worth the trip all by itself. However, there's also a small, inexpensive Buffalo Bill museum on the mountain, and it doubles the pleasure. After a short, informative film about Buffalo... More

This is a great location and really love the drive up from Golden with terrific views! And the museum is one of the best little museums ever. Not very big, but they have a done a great job with the displays and are keeping the memory of the great, wild west alive!

If you like the Wild West and the history behind one of its last true heroes come and visit this extraordinary place. The collection of artifacts, weapons, memorabilia, letters, posters and attires among other neat things from the golden era of Buffalo Bill Cody has no parallel. Learn about the man, the philanthropist, the honorable warrior, the true defender of... More

This is a must-see for the views and its singular place in history. It is easy to get to. From the parking lot you look DOWN at Golden and North and South Table Mountains. The museum is small-medium sized but inexpensive ($5/$4-seniors). There was only ONE William F. Cody and no one quite like him. The gravesite is nice and... More

Didn't leave ourselves enough time to properly explore it, but good enough for me to want to go back. The views are glorious. I can just imagine what it would look like with snow on the peaks. Buffalo Bill was a man who lived his life to the fullest.

It is nothing special, but if you are into western history and lore, it is a fun place to visit. It has a nice view of the Denver area and I like western history and enjoyed reading about his life. It was also nice to visit his grave.

We were able to squeeze this in before we had to hit the airport. It was supposed to open at 8am, but was closed when we arrived. Someone finally showed up around 8:15. Nothing was open, so we checked out the views of the mountains, Golden and Denver (far out). We walked to the gravesite. Just a neat and free... More

Typical small museum outlining Buffalo Bill's life. Interesting history. The museum consists of an exhibit including a brief film, gift and snack shop, and the actual gravesite. The best part is the scenic views. The drive to the top of Lookout Mountain is beautiful and the views from the top are amazing.
