This scenic hike near exit 125 of I-70 is one of the best I have been on. It follows a stream almost for its entire distance. The lake at the top and Sprouting Rock is well worth the effort. However, parking is limited; you have to be there (in my opinion) before 7AM if you want a spot to park.... More

Was recommended this hike as a must-see by our resort concierge and after seeing the pictures, my husband and I decided to go. Located in Glenwood Canyon, the drive to arrive here alone is beautiful. Depending on when you decide to visit there may be limited parking. We came in the afternoon on a Wednesday and were lucky to find... More

Tough hike to get here, but incredible view, you just don't see this without getting off the beaten path. Make sure to take the extra little hike to the upper falls and take pictures from behind the falls

Looks just like a wallpaper. The view is breath taking. I read online that the hike is difficult, so we took our time. Took lot of breaks, water and snack, still went up in 1 and half hour. And return took around 1 hour. The hike is totally worth it. Behind the waterfall, there is a rainbow formation. Swimming or... More

I first hiked the trail about 25 year ago before it became super popular. It's often hard to find parking now and really crowded with cranky people.

The climb was moderate, about 45 minutes to reach the hanging lake. We went early to get a parking spot and that was wise as the lot was filled by the time we returned, and there were crowds later in the morning. We started our climb at 7:40 am. The amenities are excellent - guard rails where you'd want them... More

The only bad thing about this hike is the parking. Get there early and beat the rush. The hike is beautiful and any age can do this hike. There is sections to stop and rest and turn back down if you don't want to go to the top. If you can it is worth the view to get to the... More

The lake is awesome and so unique which can also be said for the trail to get there. Add in some afternoon showers and the trail becomes even more challenging. Luckily the rain does keep the volume on the trail to a minimum.
