A big hike on a beautiful day here in Colorado. I am not sure if going up was harder on my lungs or coming down was harder on my knees. But I got to tell you, I am not complaining! It was a perfect day. After the hike we went for a burger and beer.

When the sign says this is a difficult hike, it really is. Seeing the lake at the end is however worth the trip. It took two hours to go up the 1000 feet climb and about an hour and 15 to come down. I thought about turning around after 1/4 mile up but was glad I received encouragement to keep... More

One of the most beautiful places on earth. Worth every step of the exhausting trail. A must see and one you'll never forget.

Great side hike if your traveling on 70...off the interstate but directions little confusing. Limited access on/off 70 but worth the research to get there. Beautiful views at the top...relaxing.

crowded. crowded. crowded. crowded. crowded. crowded. crowded. crowded. Do not do this trail on a weekend. Do not do this trail in July. Do not do this trail for the fall colors. Go during the off season in bad weather.

The trail is a bit steep but so pretty along the running creek and has many waterfalls along the way. The lake itself is spectacular- one of the nicest hikes with an fantastic destination at the end.

over a mile trail to the top, it is a hard climb for someone not used to the altitude and used to hiking. When you get to the top the climb is all worth it. Hanging lake is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Beautiful waterfalls into a clear blue green lake. Absolutely gorgeous if you... More

The uphill rocky trail was definitely worth the beautiful view of the hanging lake. It's aqua blue but a little dull in color because there's so much algae and then fallen logs here and there. I suppose that's how the eco-system of the lake works so they've left it untouched. There was a board walk around the lake with benches... More

Hanging Lake brought tears to our eyes when we saw it. It wasn't a first time for us but it is always a great place to see. The trail was packed with people and the parking lot full, but that didn't bother us. It is surprising when you reach the lake just how beautiful it is; takes my breath away... More

A beautiful hour hike (good workout but not technically challenging) up to a magical shangrila nestled at the top of the canyon. Parking can be tricky and I hear there are crowds. We went at 8:30 AM and got the last convenient parking spot (there are more but it will be a walk to get to the base of the... More
