Very pretty in early morning

Very nice experience seeing the lake and falls just about the lake. Definitely go to Spouting Rock while you are there.

It is a beautiful hike, not easy though. A lot of loose rock and a good bit uphill. Took my family almost an hour to get to top. The lake is nice, but most reviews in my opinion over rate it slightly. The lake is clean with a few small waterfalls, but not unbelievable. Still worth it, but I only... More

Impressive and pretty, but not as awe-inspiring as the hype surrounding it. The trail hike up to the lake is better than what's at the top.

I see there are two categories, one for the lake itself and one for the trail. This review is purely for the lake itself--nothing to do with the trail--which I'll review separately. The lake is nothing short of stunning. The clear, turquoise waters are home to many fish and the setting, despite the throngs of tourists, is serene. Spouting Rock... More

Make sure to go up above hanging lake to spouting rock, well worth the extra short hike. Wear good shoes and have good knees for the way down. The kids pushed to get to lake, the way down was a little much for them. Pretty crowded trail, around a mile each way

So much fun! Out group consisted of 6 people (one married couple, a DD with a 4 year old, and me and my 6 year old). The married couple took off and were up the hill a half hour before me and my son made it up. A skinned knee and a couple of falls later and we were at... More

Beautiful hiking destination. Be sure to take the side trip to walk behind the waterfall. Steep rocky trail.

Love this hike and taking visitors up there! I go several times a year, spring, fall and winter are my favorite times as it is the most popular hike in the state in the summer. In the summer go early or late or you will share the trail with hundreds. It's an hour of stair climbing but well worth it!... More

This is an amazing clear blue lake naturally suspended off the side of the hillside. It is about a mile+ hike up to it and can be a little difficult. Wear good hiking shoes and bring lots of water. Hiking to the lake in the morning is best as the sun shine directly on the side of the mountain later... More
