In addition to miles of cruising intermediate terrain, Sunlight's East Ridge has one of the steeper runs in the state. Aptly named, The Heathen falls beneath your feet at a breathtaking 52 degrees. Sunlight is home to one of the longest trails in ski country, Ute, a beginner slope that winds more than 2 miles from summit to base. Sunlight also hosts some of the best tree skiing in Colorado with many aspen groves untracked days after snowfall. All trails converge at the base lodge, so friends and family can always keep track of each other « less

Sunlight is like a local dive bar... cheap, friendly, and fun. You will meet new people and have a great time getting to know some locals. We spent 2 days enjoying blue and black runs and never got tired of it! (It's not a huge mountain) Everyone kept saying how busy it was that weekend but we never waited more... More

Went for the first time this spring and it was great. Amazing views of Mount Sopris and the Roaring Fork Valley. Good snow, some great tree terrain. No high speed lifts but gives you an authentic ski hill experience of yesteryear. Great place to bring the family without the expense of the mega resorts. There's also a great package deal... More

This is a great local mountain with a very friendly staff. Do not miss making turns at sunlight and grabbing a pint at the bar afterwards. Really fun scene without all the traffic in the Aspen Valley.

Family friendly. Perfect for beginners. Laid back locals. Prices were very reasonable. Kid friendly, the ski school had great, patient instructors. Ashley was with our daughter and we were very pleased. Lodge has very 70's feel, loved it! Free parking, right by stairs to lodge. (Plenty of parking). Ski rental shop was super friendly & helpful. Down a windy mountain... More

We discovered Sunlight Inn about 20 years ago. It is a bit of a drive outside of Glenwood Springs, but a sweet little Inn. This is at the base of Sunlight Mountain ski resort which is a small, family friendly and more economical place to ski in the area. The rooms are all unique, decorated with mostly antique furniture. This... More

My family, including my young kids and my parents, visited Sunlight Mountain Resort this year and had the perfect ski vacation. This is not the place for you if you are looking for the biggest or most fancy resort. But, if you are looking for a laid back ski experience in a beautiful setting, then Sunlight is for you. There... More

Sunlight always closes the week before a huge dump. Not very appetizing when the season tickets are close to the same price as the 5 BIG mountain Vail resorts season pass.
