I hiked for the first time ever at Horsetooth (May 2014, not 2015 as my review says) and it was so fun. The views at the top were spectacular. I would recommend Horsetooth to anyone. They have a few different trails to choose from and it really is a nice spot to spend an afternoon hiking. Do be aware that... More

I would normally rate this as 'Outstanding' but, due to the recent uptick in rattlesnake encounters, I can only give it 'very good'. I have hiked almost all of the trails in this park and even hiked up and over to Lory State Park from this park. This is the first time I have ever encountered rattlesnakes. And not just... More

Great trails, well maintained. Fun close-in to Fort Collins quick get-away for morning, afternoon - anytime. Lots of wildlife, flora, and birds. Dog friendly too!

We just stumbled upon the road that took us up the mountain. When we topped that hill, our breath caught. So stunning. There are many trails and places to stop and soak up the beauty. Picnic tables are in abundance, too.

We hiked the Horsetooth Falls trail and enjoyed the nature on the trail. Beautiful flowers and very scenic. The trails are well maintained and fun to hike. Plenty of parking, and maps and regulation information was available. Water available and the site has an outhouse.

Breath taking views!! Took my family that was visiting from the east coast. And we brought lunch and ate it at one of the picnic areas. They have a little area for swimming, but parking is limited down in that area.

After a very wet spring the wild flowers were absolutely stunning! We have hiked to the falls which is great for kids and to the rock which is a lot more moderate than the falls. Have to pay $7 for parking but worth it. We usually see deer on the hike and if you to the falls you can get... More
