What a wonderfully beautiful hike. Horsetooth is a rare hiking experience. The mountsin range revealing devils backbone, the view overlooking the valley, and the walk along narrow yet easily marked trails makes for a delightful walk in nature. Close to both FoCo and Loveland, Horsetooth is a convenient get-a-way. Yet far enough from the pace of work and the city... More

This is a beautiful area with lots to see. It is like no other place I have been. There are lots of walking/hiking trails around a beautiful reservoir.

Myself and a friend hiked to the big Whitewashed 'A' Near Horsetooth Reservoir above the CSU stadium so she could show me all of her home town. There were beautiful views from all around and it wasn't even too much of a hike.

Beautiful open space preserve. Close to town. Bathrooms and parking not all open as it's seasonal. You can drive around the area, but very few amenities. Bring your own picnic and drinks.

The hike is 6.4 miles long round trip and can get decently steep toward the top. It offers nice views of the surrounding areas. You can also mountain bike or ride horses. If you go on a nice weekend day you may be unable to park.

A short drive toward the mountains above Ft. Collins is the enormous Horsetooth Reservoir and open space. It is full of great hiking trails and, if you have the chutzpah, you can try them on a mountain bike. It fits my image of the Rockies - huge, open valleys surrounded by dry hills sparsely dotted with pines. The whole thing... More

Outstanding view and an excellent place to spend some time (specially during summer). If are willing to go hiking until the top of the "A" you will be just breathless with the view

Took the kids and the dog for an afternoon hike up to the waterfall and all the way around. There are plenty of trails to explore. Great views of the mountains and reservoir. All and all, a great afternoon. Parking can be a bit of a challenge as the upper lot fills up. $6 entrance fee unless you have a... More

If you're into hiking somewhere with unbeatable views, this is your spot. The entire experience was special and I had an awesome time hiking the Horsetooth Rock Trail. All of the people that I met along the way were extremely friendly and just added to the wonderful atmosphere. The view from the top of mountain is one that you do... More
