A beautiful place to see and so close to the City but you don't realize the city is so near.Summer the lake is filled with boats but it is so long that there is plenty of room. Camp sites are available but reservations would be advisable. Excellent fishing too.

I love this reservoir. Best in the state. I've been a marina customer who rents a slip for 8 years. There are awesome coves to go and swim in and the views are wonderful. So close to Fort Collins and so wonderful.

Beautiful, scenic. Deer roaming and crossing the road. Lots of wildlife and and scenery to take in. Fishing, boating and skiing are commonplace.

The views from here are the highlight and the hiking is breathtaking! Cycling or even long boarding (though that may not be legal??) down these windy hills across the reservoirs!

A great open space. There are hiking trails, picnic areas, and a beach. The drive up to Horsetooth is a tad harrowing the first time you take it. There are a couple really steep grades and very sharp curves. The views, are spectacular. You need to buy a day pass from vending machines, located in the parking lots.

Our weekend getaway to Fort Collins, Colorado would not have been complete without an escape to Horsetooth Mountain and Reservoir! Less than 8 miles from downtown Fort Collins, the short drive to the park was worthwhile! Activities in the area were numerous...from water sports to hiking to cycling! Just the mere appreciation of Mother Nature's creation being so close to... More

There are great trails and views here. You can hike, run or mountain bike on the trails and the lake is great for swimming, boating or paddle boarding. Always have fun when we go. We have a yearly pass but otherwise it is $6 for a day pass

Great place for a hike. Nice views. The trail we took was very easy. Our 3 year old grandson had a ball.
