so beautiful and so close!

lovely hikes to the top of the rock - great for families, dogs, visitors ... not too challenging, and with a great payoff!

The top of Horsetooth Mountain has the most beautiful views! Surrounded by other mountains and Horsetooth Reservior (a great place to swim and for water sports) - the view is awe-inspiring. The hike was strenuous for me, a 56 year old woman in very good health, but well worth it. I was hiking with 18 - 21-year-olds, so was I... More

Took my first hike in Horsetooth Mountain Open Space -- great trails, lots of variety and levels of intensity. I'll be buying an annual pass and making this a part of our lives.

Great place to hike or relax and enjoy a scenic view. Very peaceful and quiet in the winter. Definitely worth the drive and a great place to watch a sunset.

Amazing drive from Fort Collins- a must if you are in the area. Went during the day and then returned to see sunset.

Horsetooth (named for the rock formation that dominates the park) offers plenty of great hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking trails. Right on the edge of Fort Collins, a hike to Horsetooth Rock gives a commanding view of Northern Colorado. Great for families.

We go whenever the weather permits as our family is active and loves to hike. With terrain for most levels it's one of our favorites.

Take a nice ride or hike up to Horsetooth Rez and visit the open space area, beautiful and serene on the eve of the Winter Solstice.

Nice visit with beautiful view of the reservoir. People were practicing climbing the rocks and the water looked amazing. The weather was beautiful for a cold December day and the cost for visiting was just right-free! I would definitely visit again. This is a must do site when visiting Fort Collins.

Some nice views and a decent hike to a waterfall. Nice that there are several options for loop hikes.
