Colorado State's trial flower garden is worth a walk through and there is some fun and interesting sculpture nearby. We saw and heard an impressive owl in a Ponderosa pine nearby as well.

The trial garden is a great place to practice your flower photography. The wide variety of flowers will give you plenty of opportunity for pictures, and a great place to look for varieties to plant next year.

CSU showcases flowers and plants. This is a great place to take your teen who is taking a photography class...to get many opportunities for still photos and color. A person only needs 20 minutes to view the entire garden, but linger for relaxation and enjoyment. No entrance fees. You can see it off of College Ave.

I have drove by this many times for 4 years and never stopped to check it out until last summer. I brought my mom here for some photos on her birthday. Everything is labeled so you always know the name of the flower you are viewing. Don't just drive by on College St. find a parking spot and check it... More

The trial gardens at Colorado State University are beautifully maintained and tended, especially during the peak growing season from late spring through early fall. I had senior pictures taken there when I was in high school, and my sisters recently had their senior pictures and theater head shots (respectively) taken there. I've also seen a number of bridal parties there... More

Experiencing the heart wrenching deposit of our son 2000 mikes from home at CSU was eased somewhat by the discovery of this stunning garden. It is a test garden so flowers are laud out for experimental purposes, labeled and with water requirements indicated. It is not a botanical garden per se. I was thrilled to see so many dahlias, mandeville... More

You can't miss this driving through town in College avenue. It's a garden cared for by the students who go to CSU to see which varieties do well in the semi arid Colorado climate. Beautiful place to go in the Summer. Also, to obtain some ideas regarding what plants do well growing in Colorado ( if you're from here). It... More

We stumbled on this garden 6 years ago on a visit to Ft. Collins and were able to take many great pictures of my then 3 y/o daughter among the flowers. This summer we made a point to go back on this visit to Ft. Collins to again photograph my now 9 y/o daughter along with her 3 y/o sister.... More

a bunch of flower pots arranged in circles and such does not constitute a garden. And why are they growing water demanding plants in the high desert??
