The imagination and creativity and FUN of the statues is simply amazing. Your eyes will light up every time you catch a new view, see a new creature. Seeing it for the first time with visitors is a delight. Free, but donations appreciated. The city is encroaching on what used to be a rural property, so please enjoy this gem... More

I've never seen statues that were made using machinery before! The path that runs throughout the property is inundated with strange creatures. Some not so strange like the two fishermen on the riverbank fishing. One caught one! The admission price is whatever you want to put into the little steel man! With that kind of honesty and trust I always... More

This is great experience with the kids. Metal sculptures with fun designs in the outdoors, so children can run the path and play in a large sand box. It's free, although they appreciate a small donation. Really unique, outdoors, and inexpensive. You have to do it!

The Swetsville Zoo has been forced to consolidate over the years, and recent family troubles have done a fair share of damage to the name, but it is still a one of a kind location. Fun for the whole family, and good for picnicking in warm weather. Everyone must see this unique sculpture park while they are in Fort Collins.

this is close by my house so go fairly regularly with the grandkids. The imaginative sculptures are something to behold and sparks many interesting conversations with the kids. Definitely a fun family outing if you are in town for any time at all, it is free and a walkabout self tour so very family oriented.

Swetsville zoo is a great place to go if you have like thirty minutes to spare. I love the animals... they're so creative and fun to look at.

Adults and children will love this FREE and bizarre collection of iron/steel art brilliantly fashioned from everyday mechanical elements -- dinosaurs, dragons, goofy characters. Adults will love naming and recognizing the various parts and their ingenious use. There is no place like the Swetsville Zoo. It is a monument to one man's obsession and it is the ultimate offbeat roadside... More

If this collection was in New York or Paris ,we'd be raving about what a genius the creator is; however I am glad this Museum is out on the Colorado Prairie and holding together. The owner is getting on in years and I strongly suggest you stop by here before you do anything else, if you appreciate Art and creative genius... Lot's of history here. You can read about it online. My boys loved it. There is a box for donations. The gentleman molds/welds medal into pieces of art.
