My sister took me rafting with my brother for my 37th birthday. A-1 guides were really great at creating a fun atmosphere with intelligent and safe information along with great jokes, stories, and other entertaining antics. They were very organized and we all had a wild ride running the Poudre. Great rapids and it even rained on us a little... More

Our family of 14 rafted on June 27 -- we had five thrill-seekers who chose the higher level trip, and nine "we're-a-little-nervous-so-let's-go-on-the-next-level-down" rafters, which included children and grandma and grandpa! By all accounts, both trips were fabulous. The guides -- Eric for the bigger boat, and Josh and "Mad Dog" for the smaller one -- provided great instruction and a... More

Our family of 6 rafted on July 4, 2014. The water was higher than normal at this time of year, which made for a fun trip. The river was II, III and IV rapids. Our guide, David, was very skilled, had more than 8,000 miles of rafting history, and was pleasant and competent. He would let us know what was... More

Made a "reservation" using the online form on the website. Per the text you are not confirmed until they contact you. Unfortunately you have no idea when that is going to happen. I made a reservations two days ahead and hadn't heard a word from them. Called two hours before my sons and I needed to be in Ft. Collins.... More

I enjoy taking my kids and their friends rafting once a year and this year we chose A-1 WR--we will not be back. While the activity was itself fun, the guide made it uncomfortable. My boys and I did not appreciate the lack of professionalism and his insulting mannerism. I raised my kids to be polite but I know it... More

I travel quite a lot and I rarely give out bad reviews, but A-1 is the worst experience I've ever had with a tour company. Imagine going down an awesome river and having a great time when a big rapid approaches. Instead of going down the rapid, we were the only group to get out of the river while everyone... More

My husband and I had been rafting several times, but never with A-1 Wildwater. After doing a little research and seeking out reviews, this company seemed to be our best fit and boy did they prove me right! Everyone is very friendly and helpful from helping you choose the best trip, the check in process and all the guides. Our... More

The river was running very high, and the original run we signed up for was changed for our safety. I'm glad they did as it was my first time going and my 14 year old son was nervous. Tyler (our guide) was very good at training us in how to paddle correctly, and feet placement, so as to not fall... More

We spent a cold but fun afternoon raftering with A-1 Wildwater Rafting in Fort Collins. Check in was smooth, with some downtime before we suited up. Booties were an extra charge (I've never been asked to pay extra for those and we've rafted in several places before in the country). The orientation talk was appropriate to the audience and the...
